What I meant is that polishing would have started earlier if there weren't that many animations to pose. While he poses an animation, he cannot do other task. Posing is not rendering. Posing means composing the scene, that is a full human task. It's obvious that he's able to work when animations are rendering. If an animation on the first run looks bad, he has to redo both posing and rendering. DAZ is not the proper software for creating animations, that's why creators who do only animations don't use it.

Sure, he might have saved a week if he posed less animations. And his computers would stand idle and drive him crazy. Is a week really that big of a deal?

I don't usually comment, but... The game is very good... for adult game standards, the writing is very well done (in most cases), but the romance options are CRAZY bad. I almost preferred to be alone when the option was presented to me in episode 8.

I won't go into details because my intention is not to offend those who liked the girls in the game, but was I expecting a more "vanilla" option with fewer or no red flags? I know there is a more "vanilla" option in the game, but rich, virgin girls with the mentality and innocence of an 8-year-old child are not my thing (again, no offense).

I tried looking at the secondary girls, but the options are much worse: prostitutes, drug dealers, strippers, ex-girlfriend... Holy shit... Did anyone else have the same feeling as me? I think I'll replay the game a few times to see if I get attached to any of the main girls, I'm not sure if I chose the best option in episode 8.

I'm not that much in main girls and I find BaD too vanilla, if anything. That said, why someone like Josy, or Maya, or Bella are not enough vanilla for you? I can understand that Sage is maybe too much into anal for your tastes, but the others? Their kinky side is quite moderate, they are ordinary girls.
Josy or Maya will be available for a single romance option (according to our current expectations). Bella, yes she's probably crazy and killed her husband but hey, that's was two years before meeting MC, that axe is not for MC, come on. And by the way, is murder really a red flag?
I agree that Jill is boring and too sexually immature (some brutes - not me - would say "sexually retarded") but the others?

When I say more "vanilla" I don't mean fetishes. I mean a more realistic love option. Someone the MC's age, who has the same financial status as him, the same interest in science, who isn't prone to lesbianism, who doesn't have emotional baggage from past relationships, someone who wasn't the most popular redheaded girl in college but who was an introverted or not-so-popular girl on campus. I wanted as an option a girl who wasn't a prostitute... or a stripper... or a drug dealer... Is that too much to ask? Maybe it is...

It seems Riona would fit. Let's see:
someone the MC's age = OK

My favourite is Bella... she's a teacher, lonely, and not wealthy, just an average, beautiful working person who is hurting inside over the mysterious loss of her husband, something that really hits home for me personally. I think her character is very well written. Not sure what you have against someone with a wealthy background, I mean, technically the girls are from wealthy families, but not wealthy themselves, their parents are. Josy certainly isn't from such a family and neither is Maya.

Don't mind, we don't really give a fuck about waifu wars here, we're all adults it's not Reddit or the official Discord. We say what we want about any girl, then we have a laugh. Nobody is going to cry if you just explain your preferences. Well, except Darkwen if you say nasty things about Josy.

A VN cannot cover all the variables in tastes regarding main girls. I think there is a broad choice to accommodate most preferences. People looking for the "plain vanilla girl" role are usually fine with Jill, she had to be a virgin that's like the number one rule of AVN. Maybe there will be a chance to bankrupt her so she can be poor, to be more relatable to the MC.

It's just will the game decide who you stay with and if so how? Or does the player get to decide and will Chick/Dik status matter as it did for them in past...

It seems it's much more than a week. The prove is the comparison I've made with Season 1.

That comparison says nothing about the posing of animations. There are so many paths added since season 1, higher quality renders and animations, more girls and writing. Just comparing static renders and saying the rest is posing renders ignore all the rest of the development.
By January 5th he had posed 85 animations (and had already rendered 63 of them), by the end of March he had posed about 50%. During that time he also planned out the episode and wrote the major lewd scenes he had planned. In April, 70% of the animations were posed.
He has said that posing animations take 30 min-6 hours to pose. So between 8 days and 3 months for all roughly 400 posed. By average, about 8 weeks for all animations. Since he has said he works 12-18 hours per day, let's take the average of that, 11 weeks of work.
11 weeks of work for all animations, and only a few are so called "pointless". So a couple of weeks saved time, max.

Agree for sure, I think it should come down to who spend most time with then status maybe comes into play to see if it will work but who you spend more time with should matter more then status to me

If its who you spend time with I think I'd need to sort my saves out. I think Maya just tips that one as I got her scenes last. If it's status I'm a Dik so Maya would definitely be out anyway. Josy, not too sure on...
