But without the date, everything did go to plan, she was going to tell him she cant see him for a while, the date gets cancelled and she goes through with that plan of not seeing him again. and in her words "maybe its easier this way"

No, MC couldn't go for Jill - it takes two people to make a relationship work. after this date Jill was either out of the game or in the game so to speak. she was or she wasn't interested. Tybalt had caused enough distance between the pair that there was nothing essentially for the MC to even fight for. without the important date MC could have turned up for a secret date so to speak, and Jill would have said no. - you are correct when you say people can influence other people and without that date Tybalts influence is massive over Jill... what stops him is Jill no longer replicates the attraction or wants or even effing talks to him. I think the first time they even chat again afterward (and Im sure our resident encyclopedia Better Cock Spock will correct me if I'm wrong) is when she makes sure he's coming to watch her play piano (yes I know they go play tennis)

Its as people have been saying, without that date there is nothing to really fight for, Jill doesn't catch feels,Jill continues to stay clear of MC, MC doesn't want to battle in a losing fight. Is it executed well? Absolutely fucking not, DPC well missed the landing on this. in fact the amount of times this particular scene gets directed on here is ridiculous, But it takes playing both sides to understand why and that just shitty writing.

I’m also preparing something for Christmas, my PC hasn’t been cooking so actively for a long time.

Sage is my girl for years, but I will not justify her in any cost if DPC start to ruin her. So I'm a bad simp lord. Hope it will not happen.
