I doubt that dpc spoke randomly., the hope is that it was a moment of tirednessOcean moved to half chapters and the only thing it changed its now we pretend that they are half chapters, beacuse he pulls almost the same number of renders and the same 8+ months dev cycles. DPC will do his 'half chapter' in 9 months at best, most likely still year + and blame his even more High Quality renders and animations, or the ever increasing story complexity as for why updates still take forever. Bookmark it and call me Nebulousdamus!
Buuuut, my bet is on him changing nothing. He has no risks, people are too invested, DPC could come to their house and buttfuck their wives and they would still support since they need to see the ending.
There are smaller devs that become impossible to fail by the time they get 2k paid members, DPC is basically uncancelable at this point.
