my one tiny nitpick with some VNs is how the main character dresses, i just sit there looking at the render like who'd ever wear that in public

It's less prevalent in BaDik, and Tremolo's fashion sense improves a lot over the course of the game, but the camo shirt in episode 1 was just.. gross

I found the vid you meant. If with summer break you're talking about Maya, it's a special render, so no lore implications.
They can somehow decide to go to a sunny destination between thanksgiving and Christmas, but I wouldn't count on it.

She's probably too busy with the Riona situation to think about sex. Don't forget that in the beginning she is the only one who knows that Vinny (or someone Riona thought was Vinny) 99% surely kidnapped Riona. I won't be surprised if it will take at least (almost) the whole of episode 11 if not more before we get closure on that situation.
