On all my playthroughs, my MC has never had one interaction or conversation with Arieth since the beginning of Season 3.
Only 1 chat with Josy about her where you can say Hell no, and a chat with Quinn about her pregnancy.

Hell no is indeed one option, but with the other he can say "not yet", and the way he continues that conversation gives me the feeling he isn't so against it anymore on that route.

I think it's weird that he can send his dick pic during the swyper convo. You would think nobody would do that if you aren't interested (which seemed clearly out of all the other times in season 1 and 2 when he talks to and about her).

Not "just before". After her you have a couple of scenes until the last new swyper candidate in the library(Ida catfishing even worse). 1 or 2 scenes after that you get the new phone.
Also you can make a remark to her during the HOT party that you're better than Anthony, to which she rejects MC. Maybe she reacts that way because she indeed tries to contact MC but he won't answer?
I wonder what she did for real when she tried to send messagesto MC on Rooster. It doesn't seem (as far as we know) that it has a DM function and we also know (thanks to her post with Caleb) that she can easily be fooled with "extra functions" like a private post.

Rooster does have a DM function, we see people comment "DM me" all the time. What social media app wouldn't have DMs?

That may be, but I've played a couple other AVNs that have both a social media and phone (including text) mode, and social media DM was used for people that didn't have MC's phone number and vice versa. We also don't even see a chat icon (even an unusable one, like you can see in other games that do have their SM chats mixed up with texts) in Rooster. I've searched through every rooster post in ep 9 and the only one I could find with "DM me" was Leon to Elena, so with them it's easy to believe that in this case DM me could just mean text me (like many people also do in real life).

As far as in-universe goes, perhaps you need to look at someone's profile and DM them from there.
When Tyballs is commenting on Jill's Cluck in... I want to say Episode 8, after the sushi date, Bianca asks who this clown is and Jill says "DM." Jimmy the jocks says he DM'd Sarah and Mel in Episode 4. Josy asks Cammy to DM her in Episode 6 to see if she's okay. Maya says Jill can DM her if she ever wants to talk if Jill failed the recital.
