Your visible proof in the game is in the terminology used. DMs and Texts are two separate and distinct forms of communication and "DM me" doesn't mean the same thing as or is used interchangeably with "text me." For someone who has said that they like to look at things logically, the logical conclusion for when someone using a social media platform says "DM me" they are referring to being messaged through that platform.
You sometimes have the habit of trying to make things unnecessarily complicated and if that's the way you like to look at things then be conscience that not everybody is like that. It can be very frustrating, and understandably so, when a simple solution is turned overly complex.

That was after Sage saw Chad leave Sarah and Melanie's room at the HOTs party, but before MC can potentially tell her about Chad being gay. So I think Maya is referring to Chad, because if you don't tell Sage then she does indeed confront Sarah and Mel, thinking they're the side chicks.
