You can't defend the writing in this update, as you proved by literally not doing so. He has every right to his opinion about us needing to be able to turn off the mini-games at some point other than JUST the very beginning of a playthrough. Especially when DPC completely fucking alters the mini-games going into S2 and will clearly once again do so in S3 bc he can't stop fucking with them. Like maybe if DPC would stop fucking with the mini-games he'd realize his own fucking story is contradicting itself.

I didn’t do it because I didn’t feel like it after it was obvious that he was skipping through everything. Just like I have my right to say “git good and pay attention”. “It’s contradicting the story” says the guy that was already proven to have missed the point.

A. He can have the hots
B they'd be hungover at the jocks

I think he especially emphasizes the whole free-roam section which includes mini-games, even though you can disable mini-games, free-roam still exists, and it takes too much unnecessary time to go through.

Maybe it’s because I grew up in the era where if you couldn’t figure out how to beat a video game on your own, then tough shit, hope your parents let you call the 1-800 hint hotline, but having to take thirty seconds to read what I need to do is not that big a deal to me.

It’s not a problem with the writing, you just can’t admit that you’re wrong and don’t pay attention. Sage flat out states that the Alpha’s get their turn this time, even when MC is on her route and can claim he’s inviting his girlfriend, so the DIK’s move the party up one day to get around that. That’s why Dawe is pissed that they used a loophole.

Again, all you guys are doing is pointing out how if you are on an ideal path, everything falls into place. Yet if you aren't, as i picked a save file where i had no clue wtf I was doing to try this update with first, NOTHING lines up. They never rescheduled on my PT, there was no deciding to attend both parties, yet all of this stuff happens and none of it makes sense. THAT is a massive problem.

And that's before addressing the other big problems, like quickly wrapping up the Rio kidnapping, but nothing fucking coming of it. He built up to as cliffhanger, quickly resolved it and then fridged those characters. It's the type of writing that infuriates comic readers. And it was done even more poorly here.

DPC isn't the best writer, but he's typically infinitely better than what we see here. People have a right to be upset. And the people trying to play it off like it's nothing are just pointing out further problems unintentionally, and failing to see it themselves.

Same here.

Although I kind of can some of the theorie becoming true that she's just doing it to earn the trust of the DIKs and MC in particular, while in reality she's working for Magnar planning some stuff to give the DIKs more trouble. Then again, if that is true, she doesn't do it in a smart way because it would also could make MC wonder and investigate (when things with Riona, Derek and whatevers in Isabella's hidden room die down) why the betas aren't helping Sally anymore.

A bad writer would take the idea seriously that Sally does it to also try to include the betas in the war, but I doubt DPC is that bad with writing his stories, even if it's currently hit or miss.
