the canon is that Zoey is MC Ex- girlfriend whereas the others are not. That is the Story.

*sigh* yes and it doesn't make any difference for characters who are not aware of this.

To try again: if you chose to make Josy MC's girlfriend then she is MC's ex-gf and should trigger the same sort of insecurity that any other ex-gf of MC does.

her true feelings coming to the surface for you.

Sad. I really appreciate the little variety of things that can happen in different paths inthe game, but I'm a bit sad that the main things in the party themselves (wet t-shirt, cucumber, guess who, and dirty bowl) don't seem to have enough impact.

Santa's bit would've been perfect to include some of the new/side characters. Karen, yoga girl, the three girls, Sally, heck even Elena would've been cool addition to that scene. Also not sure if there's any consequence if we didn't complete the task. I vaguely remember speeding through in one of my paths without doing it and seems no consequence?

Wet t-shirt contest could've used some more variety too IMO. Maybe Heather really wanted to get Tommy's attention and win so she flashed her tits or something. She went beyond for the cucumber bit after all. Also would've been nice to see if there's additional unique dialogue with Bianca during the cucumber sucking and Santa's lap if MC went to her cabin rather than putting the conversation after the contest. Lastly, it's really a shame that there's no reward whatsoever for winning the Guess Who. Something short like being allowed to go into the room and having the girls flashed or something would've been nice.

That's good to have. Do you happen to know how to edit the audio? There are whispered words that are getting drowned out by the music and noise, and the video literally tells us to "hear the whispers".

All of Quinn's girls have hit a Dry spell cause Quinn has had to close the Burke thing, that's where the main money was coming from.

As for forcing this MJ drama here, that annoyed me because I'd very intentionally been making a point of paying attention to both Maya and Josy, and supporting their relationship with each other. The last time a check came up for if I was treating them evenly, I passed without issue. So not even having the option in this Chapter irked me quite a bit because it essentially forced my MC to behave "out of character" for how I'd played him so far.

I am, however, hesitantly giving DPC the benefit of the doubt for now and guessing the drama was introduced because:
  1. Chapter 11 is the penultimate episode of this Season, and if you successfully got the contracts last episode there otherwise wouldn't be much drama in the MJ relationship to "amp up the drama" and resolve next chapter.
  2. I've suspected that a possible throuple breakup could be coming soon if you make poor decisions and treat them unevenly. Even if it's not forced and you successfully save the relationship, using some of the same story elements, renders, and script in this Chapter is "efficient" to include as "content" for both possible outcomes.
  3. If it is possible to keep the throuple, including some brief drama that you successfully resolve essentially "shows" the player the narrative "bullet" you dodged. If things stayed happy full-time, people that made good choices might not really realize they resolved some potential drama and some people that like that type of drama/tension might find the path "boring".
Now, I started BaDIK before I even heard of Acting Lessons. Needless to say, I've been a bit nervous since learning how the throuple was treated in there since I tend to prefer poly paths when given the option, but I hope DPC doesn't perform a repeat. I'm hesitantly optimistic because the Maya/Josy deep discussion they have near the end of Bella's party on a "healthy" MJ throuple path is actually a good example of the types of difficult, but necessary, discussions needed to keep relationships healthy and does actually start resolving some the issues in their own relationship. And the existence of some earlier MJ checks having a possible "balanced" outcome does suggest one might be possible long-term.

However, if there's literally no possible way to save the MJ throuple regardless of what you choose, let's say I'm going to be very, very disappointed and probably never play a game by DPC again. One unavoidable "bad end" for a poly relationship might be a choice you can write off as a "narrative decision". Two times is a trend that tells me DPC is just biased against polyamory. I have very little tolerance for such narrow-mindedness, if it turns out to be the case here.

I’ve pretty much concluded that this is going to be exactly like Acting Lessons. There is/will be one general overall story. We choose who we want to have with us on the journey, who we love, who we help, who we save, who we discard…but those choices become increasingly limiting and frustrating. It won’t really matter. There will be 1 overall plot line (for better or worse). Acting Lessons boasts 22 endings. It’s just variations of each other with a handful of different epilogues. It basically is who is still with you and how strong bonds or relationships with the various characters are. The rest of the plot is out of your hands. I’m afraid this is going to be the same. Enjoy whatever interactions with what characters you can. The plot is going to go where DPC wants though, not what we might want. If you’re lucky, your favorite characters will be there with you at the end of the school year. Enjoy the red, blue, green endings… our choices don’t really matter much. :coffee:

but they are, the characters the story the narative treat Zoey very specifically as MC's EX-girlfriends. Sage, know it, Josy/Maya know it, Jill know it, ( I dont play Bella , so , I guess ) , the Diks Know it.

the Narrative of the game is that Zoey is MC EX. Josy was never MC's Ex, and you cant ever makerher to be MC's EX . and the narrative the story never treat any of the girl you dated/fucked as an EX girlfriend of MC, only Zoey.

this is so tiresome man, you actively refuse to accept the Reality. lets finish it
