I do wonder why out of nowhere (to me at least) she seems to have fallen for him starting with season 3 (although we already know of her "competition" with Sarah since at least the dorm party).

Except for their sex scenes they don't seem to have much contact with each other. At least Camila still joins him and his group often and also shares a class. Even during parties their chats seem to be minimum.

Her recent questioning and evolution (fashion, social networks) seems to come out of nowhere and is very artificial (and makes Josy appear even more superficial, which doesn't help her).

It's hard to see any potential with her path. Her becoming an influencer and gaining consequent sponsorship could have solved Maya's money situation but like you said her student loan arc is already finished. She only stands out with negative traits. Her insecurities, her jealousy, her obsession. Maybe DPC thought that giving her a new hobby would make her less dull and more confident but what she really needed was a real arc.

Only Derek knows about the physical abuse but as of the library planning meeting, Sage, Jill and Bella all know that Patrick is threatening Maya's education funding because she's dating Josy. True, we don't know how much Maya shared but they (especially Jill) could have interpreted what's going on as a form of psychological abuse or "bullying." Yes, Maya's tuition plot is extremely forced overall and glad that's over. All things considered, outside of certain paths, the MG group just doesn't seem that forced imo. DPC could have given no signs whatsoever that they were all interacting and then it would have really seemed forced.

Yeah, on the college blackmail storyline issue. I finished that part last night and I kept thinking "just get a student loan" glad that is over with.

Between her and Sarah, Mel's always been the sweeter of the two. While the more romantic-ish moments happen in Season 3, she's definitely much more physically interested in MC than Sarah in the first two seasons.

If I remember right, it's because he wasn't certain whether to tell Sage or not. On the one hand, Sage deserved to know but on the other hand it was going to hurt her. If I remember right, that's why he considered telling Josy to get her advice.

Nobody “deserves” anything like that. Thankfully, this is fiction. You can’t have a (decent) story without conflict. Apparently, we also need deep drama in our porn novels. For variety’s sake. Also, many people find pure happy paragon stories lame and boring. So, there you go. DPC (and Jillybean) warned us, we should take them at their word. This ride isn’t going to be for everyone. I agree, however, that getting us to care for characters and then having us watch them suffer, sucks…

He was shocked by what he saw and detached from reality during training, which Josy noticed and began to ask what was going on, then we have a choice to tell her or not. Josy didn't give a clear answer whether to tell Sage, she said that she wouldn't want to be in his situation at all.

Jill offered the use of her family lawyer, I think she'd be smart enough to NOT offer legal advice... as that in and of itself can become a legal issue.

The timelines are often a bit quirky in the game. Sometimes between scenes it's concurrent with the previous one and other times it appears days have passed between what we actually see. I try to use the parties they plan as a rough timeline give or take a few days here and there.

Jill offers the family lawyer's help during the Halloween party. But for now it is actually she and Bella who advise Maya from that point of view. Now in theory the lawyer is needed for the contract Maya signed with her father for the return of money spent on college. But considering that there has been a reconciliation with patrick I would say that it is no longer needed, except if it is important to find out who this lawyer is.

The problem with the whole loan storyline is that it was supposed to end with the reacquaintance with Patrick', everything in between was a boring waste of time and was counterproductive for the characters, Maya first but not only her

Personally the AVN genre is of interest because mainstream media is censored, mainstream media has only recently leaned into sex amongst the drama with tshows like GoT, Shameless, etc. I get that some content shouldn't be exposed to younger people before a certain age, but that doesn't mean people should be ashamed of having a healthy interest in adult topics. So it's nice being able to read these stories, and not censor out the questionable content.

The why is because Josy can probably understand why would Chad do something like that, seeing that she in a same sex relationship and hiding it.(and potentially cheated as well)

But considering that there has been a reconciliation with patrick I would say that it is no longer needed, except if it is important to find out who this lawyer is.
