It probably is for that reason of "universality" that Quinn didn't involve him or ask for his help when on her path because we're no doubt going to see something happen, like Vinny and/or Buddy, out for vengeance against Quinn and other people will get caught in the crosshairs and spurring the MC into action to have to defend them.

My Ex from before her and her are best friends now... WE'RE separated long ago, for totally other reasons, the two of THEM was never any issue. And no one was disrespected. If any of us had said they weren't allowed to be around, now THAT would have been disrespectful to both our now very good friends. Zoey was totally disrespectful, the MC was not. Or do you think you have the right to choose who your SO are friends with based only on your assumptions and NOT A SINGLE THREAD OF ACTUAL KNOWLEDGE, like Sage did, basing it on her own presumptions and feelings about exes?

Well, it has been ALMOST said ingame more than once. For instance this scene:I'd say the game intentionally goes out of its way to hide it, all for the sake of dramatic reveal and some cheap drama a few episodes down the road.
Because like, are we supposed to believe that everyone in the college is only thinking of Sage in terms of "Sage Morgan, a random nobody" and not "Sage Morgan-Burke, the daughter of the dean"? And that she is never mentioned/talked about in this context? Same for Jade, being the wife of the university's big honcho is something that'd be obviously brought up early and more than once, in any normal environment.
Realistically Fuckface would know about the connection between those two (and Jade's husband) shortly after he met/heard about the both of them.
Where Jacob is about to let Fuckface know who her parents are...
BUT ofc is interrupted by fuckface and it only becomes an AHA moment in reruns (if one isn't to busy skipping to read it or simply don't connect the dots).
And plenty of clucks between Eggface and Sage which really makes more sense between feuding siblings, again more noticeable on reruns.
Dramatic reveal indeed, the whole Ep8 was primed for it as a cliffhanger.
