Hot take, but I didn't care much for the scene with Maya and Josy this episode. I can't deny that it was rather hot, but it felt so out of place and out of character for Maya and somewhat Josy too that it just took me out of the immersion.

I don't think that's even such a hot take. There were many ways they could've tried to make MC happy again, going all Sunstone would be near the bottom of the list for me when it comes to staying in character.

i've lost a bit of interest in DIK since I completely botched my save files and collectibles while trying to switch from pc to mac – but maybe I'll seek out a generic save file to start back up.

Just go to page one under extras grab all the persistent files and you can get back on the horse pretty quick

Just make sure to put them in the right directories. Season 1 and 2 saves go into the game/saves folder in 8.3 and s3 saves go into the /game/saves folder in 0.11.1

It's hella insulting to Quinn, Chad, Patrick and a LOT to Vinny that Tybalt is considered an 'opponent'. Dude is a road block at most and even as a road block he is beaten by Linda.

certainly Tybalt is the least intimidating of the group, but in the end he almost monopolised an entire season (at least in Jill's path). i remember theories about how he could make MC's life a nightmare, how he would take revenge

and in the end he still managed to sabotage a night of sex with Sage

he finally got his opponent's license

And then we have the faculty event next episode where she will be invite as an esteemed guest and we find out it is true that she's either Viv and/or a Royce.

Yeah, but for that he needs someone in power at the preps who hate the other frats (since he can't destroy the preps from within, Tybalt is the only true bad guy among them). Tybalt needs to be president and considering his downfall in S3, he needs to blackmail someone to get back into power again.
The other preps will probably have no problems working together with the DIKs, even if you didn't invite them before. I'm sure Jill will be able to bring them over as long as Tybalt isn't in power.

Also if it was blackmail against him, I don't think he would be grinning/smirking.

If you only played unto chapter 5, there have been started a couple more storylines and the only concluded one is the most minor one (the reason why Maya needed to enter the HOTs).
If you really want to wait until some more storylines have come to a conclusion, you need to wait until at least the next episode and maybe even the one after that.

It will almost certainly be destructive for Jill fans, but I don't think Jill herself would care. Except maybe that it will be one more reason to say her " destiny plotline" is true.

It's for 99% sure unrelated, but I do wonder why Madame Rose would hide her face during the dinner with Sage. It's not like he could probably recognize her with glasses (although she doesn't know how oblivious MC usually is). The only thing he could recognize is her hairstyle, and it's not like that kind of hairstyle is uncommon when going out for dinner.

I'm usually very appreciative of DPC's subtle facial expressions but I didn't get grinning from that. Sure it's not anger, but I didn't get happiness either.

Knowing Tybalt, if it was really against him, he would either be bawling running to his mommy or be extremely angry. I wouldn't say it's happiness, more maliciousness.

The whole thing in the end of ep10 where you either tell Jill to either go easy on him or go out to destroy him is mostl likely gonna matter too.

So far it's the variable you get is only used on the Sage route, but my guess is as well that it might work against you in the future:

Kind of a dickmove by DPC: Getting -1 RP with sage just because you have DIK affinity, even though DIK was preferable to her nearly all throughout season 1 and 2.
