Okay I just thought about the whole thing with Maya mentioning about her mom's disease, what if she is not the one to get it, but a certain maggot brother in hell week?

So when he cuts his finger and they run health diagnosis at the hospital, what if it turns out he has it?

It lines up with the best friend having some time of illness.

Ever since episode 8 each episode had between 300 and 400 animations. If I'm not mistaken episode 11 was done rendering about 1 month before release (just before beta testing started). If he did 57 animations in 2 months and episode 12 will again have around 400 animations, it will take about 12 more months for those animated renders alone.

Let's just hope he doesn't want to go that much over 400, considering he might want to go out with a bang (both literally and figuratively) with episode 12...
As always, it all depends on the complexity of animations. Which makes it hard to say if 57 animations for 2 months is bad or good. But nontheless, there is no change in pace to be expected. He did roughly 1 animation per day since episode 8, and it stays that way.

Given that the last episode took roughly 15 months, but was about 15% bigger than ep 10, its a good guess to say... episode 12 will be again bigger than the one before. This time i think a lot bigger (maybe about 20-25% bigger than ep11). Its the last episode of the season, but more importantly, basically the last one for the game like we know it. I expect that more or less every plot will come to an end. And that we once again set a new relationship status for every main girl. So we will see lot of different outcomes. Breakups (if you have cheated for example), ILY routes, maybe open things up like threesomes... and on top, DPC has to wrap up the sidegirl-relationship status too. There is no way to go on like it is now with the "others" route heading into season 4.

Lily, Nicole, Rio, Nora, Jade and Quinn all have a somewhat more "serious" (or deeper) relationship with the MC (depending how you played), lets say, they are sort of "dating". Kinda like the status with the maingirls before episode 8. So in episode 12 its decision time for those sidegirls. Can there be more? Can it head towards a real relationship? Most girls of the others route will not get there, basically every girl i didnt mentioned will not get a more serious route towards season 4 i would say. For Lily, nicole, Rio, Nora, Jade and Quinn there is a good possibility though. If i have to bet, Lily is the one that will most likely get a full on relationship with the MC, they kinda already have one. Rio maybe too if she is not dropping out of college. Nicole? I wish, but the child-thing is too big of an obstacle i think, they will end things during ep 12. Nora will end things too. Nicole and Nora will get a "last fuck" and thats it, sadly. Jade? Same. I dont see a relationship forming here. Final Goodbye threesome with cathy, and bye to both.
Quinn? Cant really make up my mind here. I cant really picture her and the MC in a happy relationship after everything she has done and is involved in. But they will try i guess.

So that means, a lot more to deal with than in previous episodes to wrap many things up. And so far DPC altered between the sidegirls a lot. Basically, a sidegirl that got a bigger scene and a lewd scene in a episode, will not get much in the next one, it wasnt always like that, but mostly. With ep 12 every "important" sidegirl needs at least 2 big scenes and a lewd i would say. That will add up.

All that considered, episode 12 needs to be bigger, and will conclude many plots and set new relationship statuses for pretty much every maingirl and "major" sidegirl. And that will lead naturally to more animations as well. On top of that, DPC cant help himself and will add of course many unnecessary animations again... like some random dude walking around. Just because DPC likes to see things and people moving. 400 total animations will be a pretty low guess, 450? maybe... i would say, we will scratch towards 500 total animations in the end. As the animationqueue is the sole-timekeeper for his overall workshedule (he is forming all the work around the animationqueue, not doubt about it), this will lead to a DEV cycle of 16-19 months.

A release before august 2026 would be a surprise.

For season 4 though i expect way less. The branching will go down, and i expect that there will not be much "new" branching during season 4 either. Its not getting kinetic, but not that "open" like it is now. It will be more focused on the relationships than everything else. Other plots will not take much place either... episode 11 had ~7000 still renders and ~400 animations. The episodes in season 4 will be smaller than that, a lot smaller. maybe 4000 still renders... and i dont even think that we will get 16 episodes. Basically season 4 will be a kind of big epilogue to the game, no place to open up new plots an branches.

So yeah... long story short, my guess? September 2026 is the episode 12 release with about 8500 still renders and roughly 500 animations in total.

Yep, as always86 mentioned DPC is already behind the EP 11 production speed by 10 animations despite having a week or 2 of extra time.

So while we have no idea about how big the EP will be we already know he is slower than last EP at the some point in time on the dev cycle.

We also know his trends well by know, every update is bigger than the last one and I doubt a Season Finale, which might even be the last "normal" EP as some are saying, will be any smaller.

If anything I expect statics to reach 8K due to sheer amount of variations EP 11 will demand.
Do you mean 8k renders? I think it's more likely he will hit the 9k for the season finale. It might also be that he's behind production speed because he may have started with larger ones compared to ep 11, we don't know yet. Also seeing that episode 11 was about 5.5 gb on the HDD (0.5 more than ep 10), my guess is that the next episode will be at least/around 6.2 GB. That would make this season about 24GB, very large for an AVN.

I can't wait for the first real preview render. I wonder if it will just be "casual" image (like EP 11, preview 11 of Melanie), a more sexual one (like preview 3 of Josy), a flashback one (like preview 1 of Lana), or something completely different.
