I am curious, however, about how epilogues are gonna work.

Seems to me like main girls would get a longer epilogue and some of the more significant side girls would get a bespoke ending.

I'm guessing that there will be a "default" ending, maybe linked to Tremolo's grades that shows his future/career with differences based on their chosen path.

Obviously this would only be the very end but even thinking about it sounds like a lot of renders and variations to make based on previous choices.
It would probably depend on how much branching DPC decides to implement. Affinity, if you dated other MGs, if you cheated at all, etc etc

Yeah it sounds like a real pain in the ass to map out. I was thinking making your grades have an impact on your ending could be pretty cool but idk about players who turn minigames off.

Theoretical question. If the development time would/could be significantly reduced, would you guys prefer this game to be complete (one and done), or would you want to see a B&R college sequel(s)? What would you like to see in a sequel?
(Sorry, the following is a bit TL;DR)
I think this game should only complete out this one school year. That’s it. I believe it’d be far too ambitious to do epilogues showing distant future scenarios for every character. That works if you plan zero sequels or this MC isn’t meant to be a major part of them. Otherwise, how do you build on the DIK story unless there is a time jump, or the MC drops out of the fraternity or dies?
Remember, DPC apparently started this with connections to AL. The MC or the DIK’s wouldn’t be particularly legendary if the MC were simply to graduate, have a family, and live happily ever after (from the events of a single school year). Are the future DIK’s only meant to be as awesome as that one newbie guy that maybe held the brotherhood together that one year? I would hope this story ends more interesting than that… ;):coffee:

Fuck it. I vote we give Zoey Nick's room just so the motherfucker can't come back. While we're at it, let's give Tommy's room to the maggots and make him sleep behind the dumpster at the Pink Rose.

Sleeping is easy enough. If her door needs to have a lock they can install one. Or all the doors actually have locks, but they are only in use when it's convenient for the plot. Passing the DIK initiation is not something the college itself enforces. Like I said: if Rusty wants Zoey there, she gets to be there.

Again we do not know the details of the rules or the loopholes exploited for Jill. Until we do Zoey staying with the DIKs is not impossible.

We can come up with a whole lot of arguments for why it would be unlikely. We can have serious doubts of her wanting to. We can go on and on about what we personally want to see. But the bottom line is that with the current information we can't call it impossible.
But if the cumpetition is required to get in, then Zoey literally cannot compete unless they get rid of traditions, granted diks are new but the only tradition the diks need to get rid of is the walk of shame. for obvious reasons

Ahaha I like those diary scenes :)

My best guess without having any actual idea is how Fallout 3/New Vegas did them

It has more credibility than something braindead like Cindy being Nora's daughter, but there's still a lot going against Zoey as a DIK than for. And the "loopholes" for Jill are simple: status and money, mostly money I imagine. But yeah let's just move on.
Jill is also an HONORED GUEST not a member of the Preps unlike people wanting Zoey to join the DIKs, she literally can't. she can be a honored guest if they can get that squared away but she can't be a member

Failing every test sends you right back to the beginning, with Steve as your boss in the store. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I'd prefer a one and done. Any sequel would have to either canonize of of the various endings for MC, or vaguely/never refer to MC and his actions, same for the girls. Avoiding the Acting Lessons connections was smart, and DPC would be smart to do it again.

That's how I'd like it done, but it loses something without the voice acting.

Zoey is basically an honored guest anyway at this point.

We can move on, but as a general rule about arguments you can't just state Jill because Royce and then insist not Rusty even though Burgmeister. It's nonsense.

An actually plausible line is that the ANO has special privileges as a fraternity which have been put there exactly so rich girls like Jill could stay in the rich people house while the DIK as a new fraternity has no such privileges even though a Burgmeister founded it.

But since we don't know, we just don't know.

I already gave reasoning why Rusty can't just snap his fingers and make Zoey a DIK. And yes, that's perfectly plausible too.

Not my point. All I've heard as reasoning for Jill is rich + Royce. Absolutely no detail on HOW this results in her being a permanent guest of the preps. So long as those details are unexplored rich + Burgmeister is valid reasoning for Rusty to be able to do the same with Zoey and the DIKs.

If Rusty can't just snap his fingers, neither can Jill. We need actual detail on how Jill happens to say if Zoey can or not.

We don't even know the details of why MC couldn't stay with the HOTs. Maybe there actually are rules that would have allowed it in theory, but Sage deemed it impossible to make it happen in actual practise. A very plausible explanation would be an application form that would never have gotten approval for MC staying with the HOTs, but Jill's staying with the preps was approved as soon as it was filed.

Maybe it's that simple. A process to get permission. Jill got it easily for staying with the preps, MC would never have gotten it for staying with the HOTs and Zoey's chances of getting it for staying with the DIKs are exactly as good or bad as is convenient for the plot. If she even tries to get that permission in the first place.
