So I did some calculations on the game's timeline. In episode 10 we had our most significant clue as the day after Halloween Nov 1st is a Sunday. If the game is meant to match real world calendar the year would be 2020 or 2015. There are other years this happens obviously, but these are the likeliest. In the current year MC's birth day is a Thursday in September. The time skips make pinpointing the exact date difficult, but among the possibilities is Sep 10th. If the year is 2020, MC might have been born on Sep 10th 2001. Or the day before the 9/11 strikes.
Honestly I hope it's not the case and DPC has no specific year in mind and it's just a massive coincidence, buuuut if were wondering how MC's grandparents managed to hush things up, then people were kind of distracted at the time.

CGI is a thing, although I wonder why they would make Barbie's boobs smaller instead of bigger
