Josy is always in her feelings. If you remember the scene where Josy, Maya and Sage talks about MC, Josy thought MC was falling in love with her. Whereas for Maya, it was an experience. It was a gradually developing relationship between Maya and MC.

Josy wants to find love and affection, nothing is wrong with that but claming that Josy is more mature than Maya is just wrong. She acts like she cannot go with her life without love and affection. That's a very bad way of looking at the world. You cannot be that depended on people.

I don't find Maya to be very mature she very native about how the world works even for her age. Josy actually solves issues Maya doesn't. Maya because of what patrick did to her excepts people to leave but that isn't the same thing as being mature
