Wait. I just realized something. Am I understanding correctly that we are all playing a game that will almost certainly have a tragic ending for everyone around us except for us and the girl we choose?

Fuck, okay, fine. I changed the "tell Josie about Chad" variable right before we visited her house. It worked, and Sage is coming with us. But why the hell aren't Maya and I a couple? There's no kissing scene with Maya in front of Patrick. But Sage is still Derek's girlfriend. It's weird. I tried changing the same variable in the library during the plan development, and the team agreed that I would be Maya's boyfriend. What the hell is going on?

We don't know yet. I doubt everyone will have a tragic ending, but I won't be surprised if there will be some. Especially for example if we don't decide to help Riona or don't support M&J if we're not on their path.

It's definitely going to be Quinn, and it's definitely going to be MJ, either because of the balance or because their relationship will fall apart without you. Jill might be in danger because of the company she started, if she finds out something she shouldn't, and that could put Bella and possibly Sage in danger (given how close they are becoming). Sage might go downhill without you as an anchor after Stefan's accusation. It's not clear yet, but it's possible that others have some connections that could ruin them without you. For sure, DIK's will fall apart if they don't make the right choices or if they don't have a girlfriend. They might face consequences for their drug use, just like most of the HOT's, and there's also prostitution involved. The end doesn't have to be fatal. Some of the girls might become depressed without your support, and their lives might start to deteriorate. There are many possibilities. But with this first game, I'm now worried about everyone.
What I'm absolutely certain of now is that we won't be able to save everyone, and someone is bound to end up in trouble. We have more than 10 people with whom we can build relationships. And don't forget about the ending where the mansion catches fire at a graduation party or any other event, and everyone burns to death.

Sage was talking about a party so big that the jocks and the DIK's wouldn't even run into each other. A graduation party would be perfect for this. Considering the first game, I wouldn't be surprised if a silly character, like a shrimp (completely random choice), locked all the doors and set the house on fire.

When it comes to such a big party, something that takes place between then 4 houses including outdoor college grounds comes to mind. This would be perfect for New Years Eve, since they also have more than enough space to set off a firework festival for example.

Nah, more like Derek not preparing the firework correctly (or setting off his own fireworks) thanks to his injured finger and his natural stupidity. It has the same result though :KEK::KEK:

No, I just replaced the variable, told Josie about Chad, and it worked. As for the "why," it's probably because of the dialogue structure, where instead of inviting you as a friend (Maya's idea), Josie suggests the beard trick (from the dialogue with you at the gym).
that kinda sucks, having Sage there feels pretty important if you are on her path

Right. Now is a good time to gently remind everyone the importance of using spoiler warnings where needed. And, also, of the importance of where not to use lube.
Keep those spoilers under wraps because, if not, people risk an unwanted dick in their face. :WeSmart::cool::Kappa:

does cheating points affect the relationships with LI?
Currently the only major effect it has, is that you can't do the "I love you" scenes with any of the girls if you get too many cheating/deviant points. It's probable but currently uncertain if it will have an even greater effect in future episodes.
