You have to understand that , on the actual relationship path You talked with Josy dad, now, you got introduced to her mother, There was " I love you " exchanged between them. ( same with Maya and Sage )

on the others path, you didn't even interact with Joey in this episode

No, the solo path for both Josy and Maya are from the throuple ,and thats how this is gonna be .
Solo Josy or Maya, or you will be able to keep the threeway, or you fuck it up by going back to Zoey, or with to many Deviant score .
