The what is the point of the others girls, in the first place ? Think. and if mc not part of their path they rely on each other and Maya now starting supporting Josy, and they begin to talk her feeling the same way, except there no MC, other than she may or may not still have some unresolved feeling that is nowhere near as powerful as actual " Love ".
but, why if you want to believe in this so be it, I don't see the point of this version anyway, other than even more unnecessarily drag out the development time.

it's not a piss poor relationship even in the case if you don't say I love you, which was my first play , they talking out their problem this was basically the turning point for their relationship now that Josy speak out for herself. The problem is literrlay comign from what Niel foreshadowed aka MC being part of it and starting favoring one over the other, the I love you is literraly just the ice on the cake so to speak.

Their relationship has been bad, but at least until episode 10 they were trying to make it better. It seems that one of the biggest choices we can influence on their relationship's future is if we get the contracts or not (both on Throuple and Others route). If we do, it seems their relationship will continue to get better, especially now that Maya has renewed hope for their future. If we fail to get the contracts however, it seems it gets to their lowest point yet where we hear both Maya and Josy speaking about having serious doubts about contiuing their relationship (Josy to MC and Maya to Sage).
Also we can do a quite romantic kiss with Sage in her moment of weakness on the Others route if we're at Bella's in episode 11, although I think that will just be a one time thing. This however does leave the option open that we also might at least go on a date to try the waters with Maya or Josy (depending on who you liked the most) if they break up in episode 12. I'm sure we won't get another "ILY" moment with them, but that also doesn't seem fitting if we just started romantically dating one of them.
