I think he's slowly coming around and noticing MC is not another Vinny, especially if you choose to have a positive (or at least non-antagonistic) approach towards him. Out of all the DIKs, his vices are the most fleshed out, but I think step-by-step, episode-by-episode we're getting to see the good things in him, i.e. taking care of Josy, even if he wants everyone to think it's just about him not catching any strays because of her.
