DPC lets us decide. We can also participate in the tournament and the celebration. However, for that to happen, the MC would have to change its location, and an open-world freeroam event is practically predestined for that.

This also answers the question from 87 people, since there are two events happening at the same time.
Open-world freeroam as in... wandering the campus from the gym to the faculty party and back again? I know we had one small cross-campus thing with the setup for the Christmas party where you could go back and forth between houses but that seems... unlikely. Besides, while I can understand the faculty party being a freeroam, it seems unlikely that the fighting tournament will have one, since there probably won't be that many people attending who we care about talking to repeatedly.
You don't get invited if you didn't do the recital performance before. It's a private function for faculty and special guests so he won't be there universally.
Yeah I'm aware of that. The suggestion that you get invited as someone's +1 is basically just the fallback for if DPC doesn't feel like coming up with a third event for people who say no to both. It seems more likely than going to spectate the fighting tournament to me.

Sisyphian Effort :KEK:
Blue Milk, you have the patient of a saint lol

It's only just hit November. So April-October is 6-7 months depending on exactly when production spooled up.

And I did say my thinking was based on Ep11 still being patched and washed up on in March and the extended period before the first proper preview in May suggests it wasn't all engines go immediately after "launch" for Ep11.
DPC did some work while the final animations of EP 11 were being rendered, but I would say it wasn't that much.

Either way 0% of a 2025 release, the update should only drop by september.

Ep11 was released and then patched in mid March. Giving a couple of weeks for washup/non-creating prep we can assume actual development didn't start into April (first preview was end of May). So it's been roughly 6 months of core "development".

So another six months would be April assuming all goes well. Even with some slippage August/September feels extremely pessimistic.
Things always slip with DPC unfortunately, so expect August/September.

man she is so hot as fuck
That she does...

I STILL WANT A NSFW MAYA PREVIEW THOUGH

I get what you are saying about her personality, but you clearly haven't paid attention to what she has been wearing. To remind yourself just start up season 1-2. You'll only need to see the warning before you even get to the menu to see what Maya typically wears.
Exactly, nothing new from Maya and again folks.

Porn game lol

Fuckface's new year is definitely going to involve him being properly introduced to people from Lynette's side, calling it right now.
On that subject, Lynette diary had no big reveals yet, so I expect that we will get some info dump this EP as well.

It's almost the time for the only year's update ?
everyone ready to be disappointed?
Buddy, we are at least 9 months aways from the update lol

I'm still planning on September 2026. August if we're lucky.
Good guess, 04/09/26 its my guess!

Neither of those. We aren't getting it by March.

Summer next year at the earliest.
Most likely very late summer.

Also, since we are in november now...

Shit, that means I should start working on the Xmas meme...

Good grief, this year really flew by.

Another point on MC getting invited only if he helps Jill with her recital: If MC does NOT help her Jill will chicken out and won't perform the recital so she won't be invited to perform for the faculty either. On Jill's path helping her is forced so she will perform for the faculty, but MC can choose the tournament instead.

The point is that where the girls are on Dec 29th might have other options too.

I won't be surprised if it does. But for now people saying "Autumn" seem to be assuming that despite the current rate of progression it's basically going to slip 5-6 months (which would be exceptional).
No, you are just optimistic in your assumptions and bad at math.

Ep 11 took 15 months. Assuming ep 12 to take less is the definition of optimism. If it manages the same 15 months it'll be early June. If it adds 3 months like ep 11 did to ep 10 it'll be early September.

My math got me to August and I assumed Doc would push the release back to the beginning of the next month anyway, thus September.

Think logically. What was announced in the game is a college Christmas party, and it's going to be a big one. I don't think DPC would do two big Free Roam events for Episode 12 just for that.

The MC will be at the Christmas party. Either as the winner of the MA tournament or because he's providing the music with Jill. He's allowed to bring one guest. That will be Maya. Why?

There are two possibilities. Josy is still with her mother, or she's celebrating Christmas with her father. You can even read that this is what Josy intends to do. In Episode 9, Josy even told the MC to bring him home to her father so that this wouldn't happen.

Maya is the MC's guest at the college Christmas party.
The Christmas party has already happen, the dress would have to be for New years. And the staff Christmas party thing Maya can't go just Jill and Bella the way Philip talk about it and you can only go to one not both. And we know Mc will be with Josy for Christmas.

I'm working off of current progress. So yes, it slipping to September from where we are now (50% at 6-7 months) would be slippage of 5-6 months.

First slipping to September by 5-6 months would be from March or April. Are you suggesting he'll be done 4-5 months from now?

Second the 6-7 months is wrong. Last release was March and it's November. 8 months. You have no basis to assume he started in April and he might have actually started in February.

Third 6 months from November is May not April. 7 months would be June. So slipping to September would be 3-4 months. Using the 8 months would be July and slipping to September only 2 months.

Fourth you don't allow for testing which will be done after the rendering reaches 100%. 1 more month. August or slipping by 1 month to September.

If the rendering started in February It's September with no slipping whatsoever.

I hate to pummel this equine corpse or whatever but it's optimistic to give the date anything before summer of next year.

Do we want the game released as soon as possible? Absolutely.

Do we have confidence that it will be? No.

The DIK and ALPHA Christmas party took place. Isabella's Christmas party ended abruptly. I don't think it was so the MC could spend the real Christmas with Josy or Maya, though. Your assumption is based on the preview.

It confirm MC will be with Josy for Christmas that we know for sure from the preview of new Iris, weather or not the preview is on Christmas day that we don't know, it could be MC stays a few days with Josy and her family.

Maya's new dress I would think has to do with new years because there nothing Christmas she can wear it to. Unless on throuple you can either go home Josy with Josy or Maya based on who's scene you got in 11

He definitely started in February or even earlier. Why? Because there was zero rendering downtime (see quote with old post). Rendering for E12 started in early February, so it effectively has been in development for 9 months. And since rendering is the rate-limiting step, with 50% done after 9 months, it will be completed after 18 months. September, here we come.

It's the first Status update for episode 12. Let's go !

While not at full speed, I've been cooking things since episode 11 was wrapped up. Today, I will share the progress that has been made since then and bring you up to speed on the development.

As you know, episode 12 is the final episode of Season 3. After it is completed, I will work on bringing Season 3 to Steam and GOG. During this development cycle, I will work on tasks related to the Steam/GOG release. I have already coded the Steam Season 3 achievements and created all the art for the icons. I may decide to add some more achievements later, and at the moment, there are 45 of them.

Season 4 will be the last season of the game, and it will be a standalone executable. This means that you will export saves from Season 3 and import them in Season 4, which should feel familiar to you by now. As this is important to get right, I started working on the export/import functionality a few weeks ago and brought it up to speed with episode 11. Every new variable that I create in episode 12 will be added to the export functionality later during development. It was a lot of code to write and manage, but most of the heavy lifting was done. I will have to do thorough testing of this later to make sure it works as intended.
To keep PCs up and running, I focused on episode 12 animations and lewd scenes immediately after episode 11 was fully rendered. I have had zero downtime when it comes to rendering. 57 animations have already been rendered, and I have 17 animations in the queue.
Lately, I have been planning the episode in greater detail, mapping it out, and trying to limit it. And I have also been writing a lot. Compared to episode 11, I've written roughly 26%.

In the near future, I will focus on writing and planning and pose more animations to build a bigger queue. Static render work will have to wait for a while.
Also, I have already added the mini-game code I need for episode 12 and updated what needed to be updated for most mini-games. I have some work left with Brawler and Party Planning that I'll see to at a later point in development.

I have written the code for all special renders in the Rewards app. The 2D art assets and the code are all in place, and the same goes for the Mixed renders needed for Pack Quest and similar. There will be two more special render sets in episode 12. Isabella is the last main girl to receive hers in episode 12, and patrons will decide the other Unknown slot in the Rewards app in a poll. I'm not going to talk too much about the rewards in Season 4 at this point, but it could be worth mentioning that this Special render poll might be the last poll of its kind for Being a DIK.
I'm still deciding which polls to use for episode 12. I'll let you know when I've made my decision.

Have a great weekend.
