Something I was a bit disappointed in 11 was how little the contract mattered, lets see if that will still have consequences.
I was apprehensive about where that would go. I was worried they would be too monumental so that the plot would demand a second attempt which would then make the first fail pointless because you win anyway.

Patrick was essentially bluffing which lowered the stakes somewhat. He is still an asshole parent for trying to force Maya to be what she isn't and he crossed some very serious lines, but it could have been so much worse. It's the difference between deserving to be punched and deserving to be lynched.
Well, whilst she's still somewhat tied to Patrick if you don't get them, he factually has no power over her. They might not find that out if you don't get them, but he's given up trying to control her and threaten her college education as seen at the end of Ep 11 when Maya and Derek go see him. So although it was all a bit of a lame duck in the end, it might not be much of a factor since she doesn't have anything to worry about anymore.

Also, when you think about it, she kind of chose Josy over Patrick in that moment, finally. This whole ultimatum incident was kind of about that; her Dad making her choose between obeying him and dumping Josy, or staying with Josy and risking her college future. She was torn between these 2 things and that certainly could have been a factor in this rift between the girls because Josy would have wanted Maya to just choose her outright but instead she couldn't choose and so it probably made Josy feel less important. But in Ep 11 if you didn't get the papers, she's essentially finally decided that she doesn't care what her Dad may do to her now because she's tired of fighting him and so she choose Josy here, chose not to let her Dad get in their way with his threat. But Josy didn't like it because she still doesn't like the idea of Maya being beholden to him and having some control over her, but Maya's essentially just said, "fuck it", and is choosing not to care what he might do to her anymore, so it's her finally taking a stand against him. It just didn't feel good in that moment for Josy, but once she realises Patrick has relented then maybe they can move past it.
It will depend largely on what happens next. I have for some considerable time been anticipating some drama that actually centres on Josy rather than Josy being a sidekick to Maya's drama. The Iris preview is quite promising in that sense. It will be Maya's turn to be the supportive one. If you fail to get the documents Maya's spirit will take a hit and she won't have the steam to support Josy when she needs it. If you get the documents Maya's spirit gets a boost and she'll be an absolute rock. But there would indeed have to be some drama.

Another possibility would be for there to be points similar to Patrick's suspicion points that decided whether you would get the documents. Failing to get them is a big chunk of Break Up Points, but it isn't the only thing you get them from and just like with punching Patrick you can still make it without the documents and fail even if you do. It depends on how intricate it gets.

It terms of personality, I think Sage fits Blonde Blazer more. She's confident and knows what she wants out of life. Maya spends a bit to much time in her head.

Quinn and Visi fits, though mostly post-Episode 10 Quinn. Visi actually wants to be a good person, she just kinda sucks at it, whereas Quinn is kind of a piece of shit until she's hit with consequences in Episode 10's climax. They both best girl, though, so...

It's one path with 2 MGs, and they're MGs because this is a main branch relationship to be with both. Pretty simple explanation. That doesn't make them "1 LI", they're still 2, you can just get both on the same path. If there's zero chance of an ending with them then this wouldn't be considered a main branch just like how Megan & Melissa was not a main branch because it was non-existent. If DPC was going to make the path to them end in solos then he would have just made solos instead of having a main branch where the main reason you even do it is the promise of a relationship with both girls. By contrast, AL never promised a relationship with both girls it promised a relationshp with one and the choice for both was a surprise that ultimately went nowhere.

Yes, Season 2 is about beginning to explore this new relationship dynamic, but the MC always making those choices could be seen as him messing things up because this isn't how it's supposed to be done, he's supposed to make sure he gives both of them his time and attention, and it could be part of the learning curve that he's also confronted with his mistakes and can endeavor to do better. None of them are experienced at this sort of this thing and how to handle a throuple relationship, and this could be the point, that they have to grow and mature in order to make it work, that's why if you make the right choices it will and that's the promise of the path, that in doing so you get both as was the goal in the first place. In this, DPC would be treating this sort of relationship far more seriously overall by depicting the complexities and hurdles involved in it but showing they can be overcome.
right still 2 LI's in a path together. I think you could say it true of both games a never promise a relationship with both, Dik while you date both, a few sex scenes with both yet never a date with both unless you want count the water park in ep8 and even there biggest chance in 11 they don't take it, other then the 3some which is a great scene. I would be able believe there going to be happy throuple end if they had those dates like you with one of them. It makes it feel like dating two girls then in a throuple. 11 does kind of try to do with the renders from there hangout .. added mc being a pussy during that

Except that we've already seen that failing to get the documents hasn't taken a hit on Maya's spirit and even though she's still on that loan, Patrick has given up on his ultimatum. So I don't think there's going to be some sort of delayed reaction here that will mean she's not be in a place to support Josy now. Maya's plot is largely over so now it's on to finally giving Josy some plot that will also include her and Maya patching things up.

The MC literally chooses to get into this relationship because he wants to be with both, that's why players will choose this path as well, so that's the promise right there and then the Ep 8 choice takes it to another level just the same as it does for Sage, Jill, and Bella. MG branches gonna get endings for the relationship you're in.

single maya and Maya with MC, whats she holding?
A lighter to light the candles on the table. And maybe this is "on throuple vs off throuple" or a choice made by the player when accompanying her shopping and not necessarily anything to do with solo paths.

MC still wanted to try with both Megan and Missy to in the other game, still though throuple was never truly a thing until he tells them in 9. Of course the first, two season leading to something but not still doesn't promise that where it will end.
one off path and one on path i would think rather throuple intact or solo will a have wait to see where things stand

The MC dated them separately with the expectation he'd have to choose one later. The throuple was never a thing because it never materialised and was never an actual path. It was a fake choice.

It's a real choice in this game because you make it twice, it's got actual content in this kind of relationship, and is considered a main path which was not the case in AL. Sage, Jill, and Bella will all be guaranteed to get endings with them on those paths because that's what they're for, so no reason to think that a branch with and for both Josy and Maya will not be treated the same.

How is this still not getting through?

I was thinking about it, Sage (her moral and calm side) is well associated with Blazer. But not the wild side.
