Some of us prefer Maya over Josy, but as Spock would say: "Sage is best girl, but Bella is bestest girl." Not sure how many consider Maya as best of all.

Their alignment preferences make a bit more sense if you think of them as an opposites attract type of couple. Between the two Maya is the DIK and Josy is the Chick and as they are attracted to each other Maya is more attracted to a Chick MC while Josy prefers DIK. It's not an absolute, neither of them is all the way to Massive or even Huge, but in general.

Each episode takes roughly the same amount of time to play on a run, but as the game keeps branching each episode has to cover a more intricate set of past choices so exploring all an episode has to offer takes longer and longer. You should probably play your runs all the way to the end of ep 8 (or to the end of ep 11 if you give up on waiting for S3 to be completed) before switching to a different one. Some choices have delayed consequences and they don't really have an effect in the next episode so you'd do absolutely identical replays if you go episode by episode.

But you do you. Play in the way that is most fun for you. Just remember to watch out for the bananas!
Thanks. I will follow your advice and play the run to the end. I just did Derek's path in Season 1 and I'm still cockblocked from Jill and the same will probably happen when I do the Bella side so in the end I need to do a proper chick run for both of them anyway. I'm also noticing that the game is trying to screw me over if I try to min max too hard so I'll drop that and go with the flow. Thankfully I made it in my main branch and got Maya/Josy on Sages path and the possibility to go for Sage if I want so for now I'll focus on this run and do the rest later. For now vanilla Maya/Josy it is as I think it makes the most sense story wise. Oh and I won't last till a complete Season 3 so I'll go all the way. Thanks again for the advice.

There is plenty of love for Maya and the throuple. Most players aren’t as active in this thread and the regulars tend to simp for specific girls.
Darkwen simps for Josy (sometimes moonlighting for Bella). He wants Josy all to himself, so take his theories and opinions at face value for what they are.
Once you learn more of the plotline, you’ll understand why some are frustrated with Maya, the throuple, and Josy. The storyline will continue to reshape your thoughts about all the characters, if you are willing to give each a chance.
Thanks for the explanation. Right now I think I like Maya, Josy and Sage equally so it's a very hard choice. I'm also a fan of Riona so I'm looking forward to more of her. I'm planning on 100% the game anyway so I'll take my time. I'm having a blast. I wish I played it sooner. No idea why I put it off for so long. Base Profile Screenshot 2026.01.10 - 20.59.59.37.png

I didn’t play this game at launch, I found out about it and started playing a few weeks ago. I got so hooked that I finished the last episode yesterday, and now I don’t know what to do with myself for the next few months before Episode 12 comes out. Do you have any similar good games to recommend?
Eturnum is very good not as complex (nothing is quite as complex as BAD)
Our red String is great -has a lot of paths for diff outcomes
Boundaries of Morality is top notch visuals -its only at the start really 4 episodes or so but FMC is really hot
LoveandJealousy - if you want your head fried with a very sad but truly massive story
RaceofLife- another AAA title about half way cooked

Did he realize he overreacted on the Sage path? I just did it and don't remember him doing that. He just went all in on Sage and the HOTs and didn't want to talk about Maya or Josy with them or anyone else but then when it came to the first date with Jill he suddenly started talking to her saying he was dating multiple people (was he?) right to her face. On the first date. I was embarrassed for him. Thankfully Jill was understanding but holy shit it was painful to watch.
MC confides in Derek 100%, since he's already privy to the situation. He gives Bella just enough detail without naming names, but also has her promise to tell no one. But with Sage, he doesn't confide in her as much, staying as vague as possible. But realizing he overreacted is a player choice, so without the option, I cannot say if he could come to that conclusion when staying with Sage.
As it happens I do have a fanfiction scenario for a third D&G session that I entertain myself with. I believe I've mentioned it a couple of times.

First I will state here that the nerds are fucking noobs at role playing and Magnar is a poor DM. Sage will point this out when the gang tells her how the second session went and she decides to show them how a real tabletop veteran does it. Second the second session ended with the Ice Queen being freed from her curse and marrying MC.

DM: Sage

Definite players: MC (new character), Jill (same character), Maya (same character), Josy (new character) and Sally (same character)

Possible players: Ron, Magnar, Bert, Derek, Riona, Camila (Not all of them that would be too many players. Two at most. Camila and Derek would be first timers. Camila only plays if Riona does)

Villain NPC: Morgan le Sage, the Fire Witch (Sage will shamelessly flirt with MC through the character)

Not playing but paying close attention while pretending to do her job: Isabella (also a minor NPC at the start of the game and at the end)

Sage: Our adventure begins at the most appropriate of places: a tavern. Two decades have passed since you freed the Ice Queen from-

Sally: We're doing a time-skip?

Sage: Don't interrupt me, Sally. I'm doing the intro. Only noobs interrupt the intro.

Sally: Sorry.

Sage: As I was saying, two decades have passed since you freed the Ice Queen from her curse. While time marched on you've made several visits to the nearby castle. At first you were checking to make sure the curse was truly lifted, but the place quickly became a safe haven for you. Your former teammate and his wife have always been very hospitable to you and so you've observed how the newly wed couple became an old married couple.

MC: Hey! Twenty years is not an old marriage.

Sage: If you keep interrupting I'm going to start tracking noob fouls for punishment purposes. But fine, they're an oldish married couple. On the cusp of becoming an old married couple but not yet past the line. Moving on. In spite of the passage of time you girls have not aged all that much. For Jill as a long lived high elf this is to be expected, but for Sally and Maya this is the fruit of their longevity research. Eventually time will have its way with you, but for now the ravages have been greatly impeded.

Sage pauses as Maya and Sally bump fists, but doesn't admonish them for the small interruption.

Sage: Now you are engaged in the much less healthy activity of downing the local ale as a young man in fine clothes enters the tavern. He is well known to you as you watched him grow up. In time he will become King MC II, but for now he is simply Crown Prince MC.

MC: Wait, wait, wait! I'll be playing as my son? As mine and Bella's son?

A loud thud is heard followed by semi audible swear words. Bella had dropped a book.

Jill: Stop interrupting, MC!

Sage: Actually, I was done with the intro. But back up a bit. Bella's son?

MC: Well the betas call Bella the Ice Queen so I kind of pictured her when we played.

Sage: Okay, that's a bit of a mental adjustment, but that's the point of role playing. You make it up as you go along. So Prince MC has entered the tavern. What does he do?

MC: So, I've like known the girls all my life?

Sage: They've made frequent visits to the castle you live in, yes.

MC: In that case I look around and when I spot them I rush to their table, pull one of them into a hug and say: "Aunt Sally! It's so good to see you!"

Sally: What!? No you don't!

MC: What? You've always been the fun aunt.

Sage: Roll with it, Sally. Have a "yes, and" mentality. MC, I'm allowing this because it's funny but don't make too many choices for other players.

MC: Okay. So what does Aunt Sally do?

Sally: I'm the fun aunt?

Sage: You don't have to be, but this is the challenge of role playing. Can you roll with what other players hand to you?

Sally: Oh alright. I say: "Unhand me you overgrown little scamp! Start acting your age!"

MC: I'm too old to hug my favourite aunt?

Sally: No but it gets in the way of my drinking. So stop hugging me, act your age and have a drink!

MC: Okay, I stop hugging Sally. Hello Aunt Jill. Hello, Maya.

Jill: We don't get hugs?

MC: Well, no. You're the strict aunt.

Jill: I am?

MC: Yes. It's really hard to get into mischief with your sharp elven senses around. Then you lecture me or rat me out to my mom.

Sage was sure she heard a small laugh. Was Bella enjoying this? She sure was working closer to their table now.

Sally: I'm already feeling better about being the fun aunt. Elves are like so stuck up.

Jill: I've got to be a stuck up goody-two-shoes elf? No fair!

Maya: At least he called you his aunt. What the hell did I do?

MC: Nothing. Prince MC just doesn't want to think of you as his aunt because he has a crush on you.

Jill: Oh, come on!

Maya: Score!

Maya sticks her tongue out at Jill. Sage can see Bella's shoulders shaking with laughter.

Sally: Yeah, fun aunt was definitely the best option.

Jill: Oh, yeah? Well what are you doing here, young man? A tavern is no place for a royal prince! Where is your escort?

Josy: This is already way more fun than last time.

Sage: And as soon as Jill mentions the prince's escort a woman enters the tavern. She looks somewhat alarmed, but when she spots the prince her eyes narrow and...

And that is where Josy's new character enters the stage. I'm not sure what class I want her to be, but she is meant to be the prince's tutor or bodyguard. Mostly I lean on her being a healer, but I'm having way more fun with the character interactions than the actual adventure so I'm undecided on those details.
I've noticed that Bella is much more expressive in your fan fictions
Do people dislike this whole throuple/Maya? I'm still finishing Season 1 leftover paths before I move to Season 2 but Maya seemed really nice. Maybe a bit confused and scared but nice. Josy was all in from day 1
My ranking would go Maya > throuple > Josy. I am a firm believer in Maya supremacy

Guys, I need a little help!!!

While doing the umpteenth walkthrough - this time in "atomic-I-just-want-to-watch-the-world-burn" mode on the Others branch, two things caught my attention:

Thanks for any help you can give me (without me having to play everything again, of course)

Is putting the library books back for Bella also mandatory if you play without minigames?

I always thought that it was but I'm probably wrong lol
You get like... 2 mansion dollars I think from helping Bella. But yeah, that might be another requirement. I'm not very informed about non-minigame stuff though.

I don't think it's out of character for her, though. Not after she has had that breath of fresh air. Think of how she is in ep 11 even if you aren't on her path. Maybe I just give her more to react to than DPC does.
It's your fan fiction so ultimately it doesn't matter what I think :)
I always just help her out regardless... lol
Well yeah of course, you're a piece of shit that deserves to burn in hell if you don't help her :sneaky:

People are starting to see the light. Josy is always there for you. She is always there to help or be a shoulder for you.
80% of the problems Josy has in her life come from Maya the other 20% come from Tommy. She would be perfect without them. She would finally be free to just find herself and be the Goddess she is. Set her free and into our arms. She never complicates anyone's life she uncomplicates it. Life is simple and easy with Josy. Screenshot 2026-01-10 172102.png
