As it happens I do have a fanfiction scenario for a third D&G session that I entertain myself with. I believe I've mentioned it a couple of times.
First I will state here that the nerds are fucking noobs at role playing and Magnar is a poor DM. Sage will point this out when the gang tells her how the second session went and she decides to show them how a real tabletop veteran does it. Second the second session ended with the Ice Queen being freed from her curse and marrying MC.
DM: Sage
Definite players: MC (new character), Jill (same character), Maya (same character), Josy (new character) and Sally (same character)
Possible players: Ron, Magnar, Bert, Derek, Riona, Camila (Not all of them that would be too many players. Two at most. Camila and Derek would be first timers. Camila only plays if Riona does)
Villain NPC: Morgan le Sage, the Fire Witch (Sage will shamelessly flirt with MC through the character)
Not playing but paying close attention while pretending to do her job: Isabella (also a minor NPC at the start of the game and at the end)
Sage: Our adventure begins at the most appropriate of places: a tavern. Two decades have passed since you freed the Ice Queen from-
Sally: We're doing a time-skip?
Sage: Don't interrupt me, Sally. I'm doing the intro. Only noobs interrupt the intro.
Sally: Sorry.
Sage: As I was saying, two decades have passed since you freed the Ice Queen from her curse. While time marched on you've made several visits to the nearby castle. At first you were checking to make sure the curse was truly lifted, but the place quickly became a safe haven for you. Your former teammate and his wife have always been very hospitable to you and so you've observed how the newly wed couple became an old married couple.
MC: Hey! Twenty years is not an old marriage.
Sage: If you keep interrupting I'm going to start tracking noob fouls for punishment purposes. But fine, they're an oldish married couple. On the cusp of becoming an old married couple but not yet past the line. Moving on. In spite of the passage of time you girls have not aged all that much. For Jill as a long lived high elf this is to be expected, but for Sally and Maya this is the fruit of their longevity research. Eventually time will have its way with you, but for now the ravages have been greatly impeded.
Sage pauses as Maya and Sally bump fists, but doesn't admonish them for the small interruption.
Sage: Now you are engaged in the much less healthy activity of downing the local ale as a young man in fine clothes enters the tavern. He is well known to you as you watched him grow up. In time he will become King MC II, but for now he is simply Crown Prince MC.
MC: Wait, wait, wait! I'll be playing as my son? As mine and Bella's son?
A loud thud is heard followed by semi audible swear words. Bella had dropped a book.
Jill: Stop interrupting, MC!
Sage: Actually, I was done with the intro. But back up a bit. Bella's son?
MC: Well the betas call Bella the Ice Queen so I kind of pictured her when we played.
Sage: Okay, that's a bit of a mental adjustment, but that's the point of role playing. You make it up as you go along. So Prince MC has entered the tavern. What does he do?
MC: So, I've like known the girls all my life?
Sage: They've made frequent visits to the castle you live in, yes.
MC: In that case I look around and when I spot them I rush to their table, pull one of them into a hug and say: "Aunt Sally! It's so good to see you!"
Sally: What!? No you don't!
MC: What? You've always been the fun aunt.
Sage: Roll with it, Sally. Have a "yes, and" mentality. MC, I'm allowing this because it's funny but don't make too many choices for other players.
MC: Okay. So what does Aunt Sally do?
Sally: I'm the fun aunt?
Sage: You don't have to be, but this is the challenge of role playing. Can you roll with what other players hand to you?
Sally: Oh alright. I say: "Unhand me you overgrown little scamp! Start acting your age!"
MC: I'm too old to hug my favourite aunt?
Sally: No but it gets in the way of my drinking. So stop hugging me, act your age and have a drink!
MC: Okay, I stop hugging Sally. Hello Aunt Jill. Hello, Maya.
Jill: We don't get hugs?
MC: Well, no. You're the strict aunt.
Jill: I am?
MC: Yes. It's really hard to get into mischief with your sharp elven senses around. Then you lecture me or rat me out to my mom.
Sage was sure she heard a small laugh. Was Bella enjoying this? She sure was working closer to their table now.
Sally: I'm already feeling better about being the fun aunt. Elves are like so stuck up.
Jill: I've got to be a stuck up goody-two-shoes elf? No fair!
Maya: At least he called you his aunt. What the hell did I do?
MC: Nothing. Prince MC just doesn't want to think of you as his aunt because he has a crush on you.
Jill: Oh, come on!
Maya: Score!
Maya sticks her tongue out at Jill. Sage can see Bella's shoulders shaking with laughter.
Sally: Yeah, fun aunt was definitely the best option.
Jill: Oh, yeah? Well what are you doing here, young man? A tavern is no place for a royal prince! Where is your escort?
Josy: This is already way more fun than last time.
Sage: And as soon as Jill mentions the prince's escort a woman enters the tavern. She looks somewhat alarmed, but when she spots the prince her eyes narrow and...
And that is where Josy's new character enters the stage. I'm not sure what class I want her to be, but she is meant to be the prince's tutor or bodyguard. Mostly I lean on her being a healer, but I'm having way more fun with the character interactions than the actual adventure so I'm undecided on those details.
