A dream scenario would be a wasted opportunity. We can get an insight into MC's psyche just as easily with one of his inner monologues.
More importantly, why would he dream about D&G in the first place?

Well, if it were, it could probably go either way; if you're with all 3 or just M&J then it could highlight his inner conflict and uncertainty about how to handle these relationships, and if you're not with any of them it could show that he's at peace with it and ready to move on.
Not necessarily. The MC's been through quite a lot these last couple of weeks and dreams are often an expression of conscious and subconscious thoughts and feelings related to what's going on in your life. So the MC possibly having a dream at this stage could be something that either provides closure or makes them question certain things.
Because it's a convenient setting, I guess. The mind's a funny thing.

I think we'll meet Sage too, during the DnG game. There was a preview of Sage in a refined black dress (not her style at all in "real" life) lying on a bed that totally looked medieval/Renaissance style (and actually I saw the same bed style in a fantasy/medieval visual novel, I don't remember which one now). I told you it was a preview of DnG, at the time. Now I'm even more sure.

Tbf those dreams were there most likely to include some lewd content early on without having to rush a scene with a LI. A lot of VNs have these in the first update or two.

Looks more like a formal gown than a D&G outfit to me though.
Maybe diks have cottoned on and are suspicious about the evil nerds and the MC is under orders to try and learn as much about them as possible.

See, if that's what that Sage preview was then this makes me think even more that it would be some sort of dream sequence, because it's difficult for me to see how the MC and 4 of the main LIs would get involved in a fantasy board game with the nerds. Maybe, if it is a dream sequence, the MC and his merry band are on a quest to save Princess Sage from the evil Ice Queen. That would explain why Sage's dress look so formal.
