How about a new theory about Lynette?
Lynette's Dad is an ass, we know that. He had something against Neil, too, because of the class difference.
What if Neil wasn't even there at the birth?
Here it comes. Lynette faints during the birthing process. She gives birth to discordant twins. Lynette's father tells Neil that Lynette has died. Neil logically wants to have his child with him. Custody suit. Since they are twins, the father gives Neil the MC. To Lynette, the father says that Neil died in a construction accident and that unfortunately one twin did not survive.
One day in the distant future (19 years later) two guys face each other in the ring, ready to give everything for the victory. In the gym, of course, sit the spectators. All of a sudden, Lynette discovers Neil and Neil discovers Lynette. "Dad said you were dead." "Your father told me you died giving birth to our son". They look back to the ring and cheer for their son. Neil calls out "MC" and Lynette calls out "
Caleb." Oops.
