As we approach 10,000 pages I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here no matter who you are. I have only been here since about June of last year with this great game. Keep it going; thanks for the fun and fun in the future.

Since we're closing in on the next release i'm playing some routes again to "freshen up" the different stories.

And allthough it's discussed several times but it's still not answered afaik.

Who is the culprit or traitor...
Is he or she the same who smashed up the DIK mansion? But can't remember or find any about something that came to mind just while i'm playing.
In Ep.3 Jamie lost his phone and pictures from that phone are send to Chad as part of the blackmail or just intimidation. But most likely also from Rusties phone since there is also a selfie among them. But... there is one from the janitorcloset with Derek and Jacob DP-ing Arieth. And that one is defenitly no selfie, more like a spycam.

That means he or she has free acces to the mansion and even more to the DIK phones (through laptop most likely)
Nick was a long time suspect but what it looks like it's someone who wants to destroy the DIKS through any means necessary.
And what if there are more spycams around... Maybe even the trashing of the mansion is recorded and not to mention the excesive drug abuse of some DIKS.

But regarding the Chad blackmail photos, my guess is it's Mel and Sarah. Somehow they know Chad's gonna break up with Sage, when they spot Sage and the mc making out in the backyard in episode, their conversation hints at some things:

Sarah: "This will make it easier when Chad breaks up with her."​

Melanie: "I'm gonna go call him."​

Sarah: "Easier...but Sage will still be furious."​

Melanie: "If things ever go south..."​

Melanie: "...you'll have my back, right?"​

Sarah: "Don't I always?"​

Melanie: "I'll always have yours too."​

They are close to Chad, so maybe he told them he planned on breaking up with Sage, but why are they worried about things going south with themselves, and having each other's back. Unless they are involved in the breakup somehow, it doesn't make sense.

My theory is they sent the photos to Chad, blackmailing him to break up with Sage. Not because they are malicious bitches, but because they want Chad and Troy to stop the charade, or at least for Chad to stop using Sage. They were actually trying to help everyone. The photos of Arieth fucking everyone were a smoke screen. They sent all the photos to Chad, and of course he only passed on the Arieth photos to Dawe.

The Cathy cluck, it seems a little too obvious the Alphas were responsible, especially since they were screaming to the highest hills that the DIKs had done it when we know they didn't. It obvious the Jocks are happy to frame the DIKs, but whether the Alphas did it or just took advantage of the situation, I'm not sure.

Maya graduated high school magna cum laude. She wants to be a social worker. She's in gender studies. Do you really think she doesn't know what the MC implied?

Also, Maya calls Camila, Sage, and Quinn bitches in EP1.

Sorry about that. 1+1 is still 2.

I agree with you 100% about Melanie and Sarah. They will have also put the panties in Chad's gym bag for Sage to find. That's how they got the whole breakup thing going. But they're afraid of Sage's reaction if Sage finds out, so Melanie and Sarah have known for a while that Chad is gay. They know how Sage might react.

I assume Sarah and Melanie have also talked to Quinn, who has a closer relationship with Sage. Quinn plays chess, just not very well. In chess, you think several moves ahead, not just one. The MC is just a pawn to Quinn in the beginning. But that pawn can become more and more of a king during the game.

- What does Chad want? That he not come out as gay.
- What could Troy want? For Chad to be with him.
- What do Quinn and Tommy want? For the HOT's to party with the DIK's.
- What does Sage want? A real guy to fuck her.

Quinn tries to play chess but only thinks one step ahead. In EP1, the MC impresses Sage. Quinn will have noticed or Sage told her about the newbie. If Quinn manages to set the MC up with Sage, Sage's reaction to Chad would be much less violent. However, Quinn didn't include Maya in her considerations, and the MC is initially more interested in Maya than Sage.

How did Jade know that Chad was gay? In EP4, Quinn, who was standing next to Riona, points not to the Preps' house, but to Jade. Quinn told Jade. But Sage doesn't believe her mother.

The cluck of Cathy was probably set up by Dawe and Quinn without the knowledge of the other jocks. At the end of EP3, Dawe feels an urgent need to talk to Quinn.

It would spoil the surprise, the best is to play it. ^^

This end put me in PLS personally, so I understand better the message that Jill wanted to pass to the intro of Being A DIK....

This game is essentially a college comedy. It'll have mostly happy endings, probably with a montage with funny statements about what the characters went on to do, with maybe a couple of bad endings for the more villainous characters. That's what's expected and honestly that's what it should be.

Yes, even though it's more reminiscent of a Netflix series with all its melodrama, I don't think it will end as dramatically as Acting Lessons. Well, let's hope for our hearts....

Depends on the choice of LI, best girl and my favorite was the blue haired one, Rena i think, as such not really dramatic.

Only seasons 1 and 2 of "Being a DIK" are complete, so the game is probably only 50% finished. So far, the game is not sad at all, really. For the most part, there is a lot of sex and a lot of funny moments. There is some drama, but I would not call this a sad game. On the other hand, the developer's first game, "Acting Lessons," has a very sad ending. In fact, it was quite controversial with a lot of players. He has said that "Being a DIK" is a different kind of game, so while we can surely expect more drama, I (for one) do not think the ending will be sad, overall.

Obviously you're trying to play "Being a DIK." But is the file the BeingADIK-0.8.3 executable, which contains seasons 1 and 2; or, were you trying to open the BeingADIK-Interlude executable? If the Interlude, did you play 0.8.3 first?

This game is essentially a college comedy.

Should say it's the best college comedy ever. Screw American Pie, screw Revenge of the Nerds. Pinkcake's so talented at creating strong characters from endearing to vile to pathetic to understandable to lamentable, and putting them in situations that make use of those characteristics to drive an engaging plot, filled with excellent humour that hits consistently. And it's all in a game that's deeply interactable and branching, with excellent presentation.

It's a genuine shame I'd feel awkward recommending this game in the same breath as my favourite TV shows or books. If pinkcake made a SFW version at some point...

of course I don't mind so the game is good the story is good but at the end the MC must to save one from the tow girls because of one girl she got jealous from the MC and the tow girls how the loved each other and she star a fire in the house and he can't save both and he had feelings for the tow one so one of the girls she must to die so I can say just like this sorry I couldn't explain more
