Status update Episode 10

I've been working on story scenes this week, writing, coding, and making art. I've added some new features that I think many will enjoy. I don't want to spoil too much, but I can talk about one of them.

I've added a picture gallery to the phone, which will automatically add and save any image from the phone chats and pictures that may get taken during some select story moments.

Your gallery will have pictures tailored to your playthrough as the game progresses. It works similarly to the Rewards app; you can browse and view any image on full screen. Pictures from Episode 7 and up, are added retroactively to this gallery which will be enabled at one point during Episode 10.

You access this photo gallery from the main phone menu at the top - a small button next to the CakeNet text, displaying an exclamation mark if any new images have been added.

At the moment, I'm working on a scene-by-scene basis and will continue to do this next week. I'm focusing on static renders and animations and still manage to keep 100% uptime for my render rigs.

Is there such a thing as a 'Quinn Path'?

Sort of. It's not a path like with the MGs but you enable multiple sex scenes and interactions with her. The simplest way is to stay on DIK for all choices, buy everything Quinn is selling in the restaurant and whenever there is an option to hang out with Quinn pick her over the other choices. At the end of chapter 8 pick the Others path. Additional choices are to crash at the HOT house with Sage when you storm out of Maya's dorm room to have the conversation with Sage about Quinn liking you, give Rio money at the preps party, have the 3-way after party planning, and during the rain storm take her back to your frat room to help her. That's what I remember off the top of my head but I'm sure there is a complete list someone has compiled.

I guess there is a Quinn path as much as there will probably be a Zoey path. Maybe those paths will be explicitly lined out later, like a secret compartment in a desk or smth. I'm a little confused what makes a main LI myself. Is it just the amout of content, or the fact that the main LIs have their own path lined out at the end of each chapter? Quinn has a lot of content already, and with her behavior at the halloween party (you can only fuck me if you don't fuck anyone else tsundere hidden girlfriend agenda) she might as well be a main LI by now.

DPC has explicity stated that there will be zero Incest in the game. Mostly because it really isn't his thing AND steam/patreon don't like it.

Honestly, good.

There's waaaaay too much incest in porn these days. It seems like every game has it, either in small or huge amounts. Thank god Fuckface's mom died in childbirth or we'd be debating how it's okay to fuck over his really quite kind father in order to fuck his really quite hot mother.

I think DPC is a victim of the Boba Fett syndrome, where what was intended to be a minor support/antagonist character blows up in the minds of fans so he has to provide additional content to satisfy that group. It's a testament to his ability to write compelling back stories and story-based actions for disparate characters who appeal to a wider audience than he originally intended. You now have fans of Quinn/Rio/Nicole/etc. who will be disappointed (and rather noisy) if the story doesn't provide them some sort of alternate path with MC instead of sticking with the original plotlines for the 5 MGs as originally planned. This sort of scope creep is a killer for development if it's not kept under control.

The strangest thing for me in Quinn's way is Quinn's attitude toward MC in general. I understand that she is a regular tsundere who has trouble expressing her emotions in any other way than through rudeness and even insults.
But if I can accept when Quinn calls MС Chick "princess", "my bitch", "my girl", I can't understand the exact same attitude towards MC DIK. DIK MC acts just like Chick MC, allowing insults. And if DIK can be dominant with Sage, then with Quinn he's comfortable with the usual boorishness. DIK MC should behave with Quinn no less powerfully and dominance, so that Quinn, feeling that she is near a strong and confident man, can show her weaknesses, show herself as a woman who loves attention, tenderness, just wants to be weak. I hope the dynamics of the relationship will be transformed into what I see in the future. Otherwise, I don't see the point of Quinn being exclusive to DIK if that DIK is acting like a regular Chick.

This sort of scope creep is a killer for development if it's not kept under control.
