Episode 9 was the worst episode for me, but it's still better than most other games here. A while ago I played the entire game again, and episode 9 isn't a problem at all, at least now that I know not to expect more story after the Halloween party.

To some extent I can sort of agree. But I'd think Tyballs would fit that comparison better. And on that same token I kinda hope he chokes to death as well.
The episode 9 made the similar impression on me. A total disappointment when I continued the game from this episode after a break of almost a year. But recently I got the courage for a full replay from the very beginning with all the mini-games and shit. And suddenly ep.9 clicked just right. While I was completely immersed in the game, even wandering around the mansion and staring at the decorations was quite fun.

Doing such complex and lengthy animations in DAZ is in itself a strange decision. DAZ is probably good for sex animations, but it's totally inappropriate for cinematic animations, like the long animation after the first act in episode 9. The intro to episode 9 is basically just a hovering camera, nothing complicated really, but very difficult for computer rendering. If you want to do animation, do it in Blender. It's simple and fast. When I rendered an animation similar to DPC's( I rendered an animation of an old library with lots of props, heavy textures, etc), it took me about 8h hours to do the whole thing. Similar animation DPC would have rendered for a week.Do you know what that means?
