don't see why Rusty should get overly upset about mc dating Jill since he himself said he fucked around alot which he should realize is why Jill wasn't interested in dating him. and since mc and Rusty get along really well, this should be addressed at some point by both mc and Jill with Rusty to smooth things over since obviously Jill be be spending alot of time with mc at the DIK mansion and she is seemingly more comfortable there than at the Prep mansion constantly being stalked by Tyballs the big loser with the little cock.

I think as we come more and more to the middle (end of the middle?) of the game, the lack of a credible antagonist is really starting to hurt the story. Despite what the trainer said, we fought Caleb to a standstill on our very first outing. Vinny only beat us cause he had a gun and Quinn (imo, the character with the BEST potential to be an compelling and dangerous villain) has been reduced to a mere love interest.

Who are we trying to overcome? Who is it that is supposed to make us feel outmatched and overwhelmed? BaD has good-to-excellent character writing and pretty good (despite the Dev's LOVE of drama) subplot writing; but much like mainstream media project these days, it flails at core structural writing.

Fuckface isn't Rocky Balboa just hoping he can go the distance against the Heavyweight Champion of the World. He's Rey 'Skywalker'. Every single guy he goes up against, he crushes. Every problem, he solves, every issue he resolves. Tommy and Quinn even point it out in the last episode, he's good at everything he does.

Now this isn't the end of the world, most people enjoy a bit of power fantasy in porn and that's fine. But DPC keeps telling us again and again that he wants to tell a STORY here. And the problem is dangerous antagonists are what drive a story. Right about now (just past halfway) is when things need to start going WRONG. In standard story structure, after the midpoint, where the protagonist has some measure of success, the antagonist needs to counterstrike and raise the stakes still higher.

For example, in the Dark Knight; Batman captures the Joker at the midpoint without killing him. He saves the city and keeps his soul, seemingly without any sacrifice (he doesn't know he lost Rachel yet). This is a major high for both the audience and him. It's meant to be a moment of triumph which they becomes all the more bittersweet when the drop comes next. The Joker escapes, once again demonstrating his theory that Gotham is too corrupt to be saved, then kills Batman's Love Interest and turns the 'hero' of the story insane. These highs and lows aren't just for fun, they're a direct and necessary way to guide the audience's emotions and thoughts. We're meant to question our values and our place in society. Do you give up power to some dangerous person and pray he hands it back? Are people fundamentally good? Do the ends justify the means?

I use TDK because its an easy example. People love the movie because of the Joker, but they don't realize they love the Joker, because he's allowed to move the story more than most villains. He has success, great success during the course of the film. We don't just question whether or not he'll win. We also question whether or not he deserves to win. And further, he does get proven right at several key junctures. Sure, Batman and the people of Gotham both pass his little tests, but Gordon doesn't, neither does Harvey. Batman gets run around the city and nearly destroyed cause he won't break his one rule.

Now go back to BaD. Who is our antagonist? Is it an opposing force? A person? A general sense of corruption? It could be any of these, but we need to start seeing it come up right away and it needs to be a BIG problem. The MC needs to fail at something, he needs to be defeated. He needs to lose, then tie, then lose again maybe. There need to be consequences for his bad decisions, sacrifices to pay for his successes, losses and pain and suffering. At least, if DPC still wants to make an actual story. Cause right now, its just a gentle narrative on easy mode.

Did... did you actually pay attention when playing the game? All those questions are pretty much answered throughout the gameplay.

In episode 9, Rusty attempts to get into a serious relationship with Micha but she admits she's not single and ditches him, then he gets drunk on the roof before having a small heart-to-heart with Fuckface.

Jill tells the MC she dated Rusty but didn't like how he ignored her and became someone else around his friends so they didn't work out, but we see in the episode 5 flashback that he was genuinely interested in her. As Letum0317 said, Jill is the one that got away, and the morning following his shitty night he finds out that her new boyfriend is the up-and-coming popular guy at school is a real gut punch. A reminder of not only the rejection he got the night before but the one he got years before.

As of episode 9, Tommy, Jamie, and John Boy are all in confirmed relationships. Derek has his little affair with Ashley, and Fuckface is with whoever you choose or he's Sir Fucks-a-lot ("Others" branch). Jacob, Leon, Nick, and Rusty are single.

Well, different ways... We saw how Tybalt received Rusty in his office, where he works on various issues of importance to society. It's a big responsibility. It's burdensome.
I mean, it's a load on the heart. On the vessels of the brain. I can see how sensitive Tybalt is to people's problems. How much he takes someone else's pain to heart. That's what I meant.

Being serious, I can't point to a specific person and say "that's the antagonist". Vinnie looks like a proper villain material, he is chaotic and dangerous, and can easily become the spark that burns to the ground the fragile world of B&R. But I don't think he's too important to be the main antagonist, he's more of a chain of events fuse. Something like Vinnie hitting hard or shooting at the MC. Or he aims at the MC, but shoots someone near him, someone who is dear to the MC, Jill for example. Hello drama, my old friend!

Anyway, after the incident, the cops intervened, the investigation begin, the Quinn's buisness is exposed, the connection with Burke is revealed, a huge scandal, everything is ruined in B&R. Headlines: "B&R University was front for drug dealing and prostitution.", "Dean Burke denies any involvement in buying sexual services from students. Several students had previously accused him of harassment.", "New evidence of drug-dealing activity on campus grounds has been unearthed, including on a fraternity house run by the son of one of B&R's co-founders." (same goes for the sorority house, run by the daughter of dean Burke). I'm sorry here for my English, I feel that I may sound ridiculous but I can't correct it myself.
I think there is more than enough fuel for the drama. The Sage's arc alone is worth something! Her father is a predator in disguise, her sorority is a whorehouse and drug store, her university has gained a reputation, her mom cheats on Sage's dad with Sage's boyfriend. Hey Fuckface, antagonize this

But we know almost nothing about his relatives from his mother’s side, only that they have been assholes to Neil and the MC all their lives. I try to be attentive to dialogue but sometimes it gets too long and my attention span isn't that long. I also haven't had that much time unfortunately to digest the game.

I think of this scenario too, it would fit for every single branch and it would fit why DPC is going to tell the story of just 1 year because after 1 year of college there's no B&R anymore or no frats & sororities. But it think if story is going this way it can only be in season 3 ending or first episode of season 4 not until EP12-13. And Mona can testify for prostitution rig.

Josy & Maya: No school to go ? (least ones maybe ?) (**Edit oh no i fuckin forgot the tuition fee)
Jill: Family name tarnished and it will be chaos in Royce family

People who think if this is dark how do you think this story ends ? With this branching & all the stuff, we need a story conclusion that's going to hit all of em MC, MGs, SGs, DIKs, HOTs.

Both Cathy And Stephen look annoyed by Jade stepping in and giving her 2 cents on that matter. Jade strongly suggests taking stern disciplinary actions against Chad, while both Stephen and Cathy are offering a more 'hands off' approach by suggesting to "talk it out" with Chad.

This scene is always bugging me. In reality for something like this would end with some form of suspension. But clearly Stephen and Cathy are thinking about who it is that's on the other end of that 'hook' while Jade doesn't seem to give a fuck and shows she's willing to go the extra mile to drop the hammer on Chad.

With Sage said "was mom right?" i think she knew or had an idea what might be going on. That's probably why she's extra harsh with Chad and don't forget she's trying to make a move on MC too.
