I don't support, I am a filthy pirate on F95 after all. Always see “they don't need/want the money”, yet how many rich people walk away to never to get more? CEOs, athletes, actors etc have more than he ever will yet still prioritize money.Pretty sure that every jobs for you. If it bothers you so much just don't support him. What do you think will happen if he abandoned this after ep10? Nothing, he would still have enough to last him a lifetime. Honestly, nothing stopping Dpc to just finish this one and move on to another one. I mean he did exactly that after acting lesson. Honestly, if people keep complaining and harassing someone it just kills the passion for something. I wouldn't be surprised if that the reason why there is so many abandoned games here.
Of course, it sucks that we have to wait a year for a episode but there simply nothing we can do. Even if he lose half of his supporters, it wouldn't matter to him but to us. We are the consumer and he is the provider. He has more leeway and it would hurt us more if this get rushed or abandoned tbh.
We see porn devs take ages, we see the things I mentioned in the previous post repeatedly. It's no secret numerous devs milk their Patreon. Yet when it comes to popular devs we’re supposed to play pretend that they aren't or you're angry, negative, ungrateful, harassing etc when no it's pointing out they're doing what the other devs do and thinking it's shitty.
BAD a Ren'py VN with renders will by the time it's done have likely taken anywhere from 6-10 years, perhaps more. Inscryption, Stardew Valley and Undertale took less time than that it's a bit ridiculous. It's a flaw with the Patreon model; devs have an incentive to keep a popular project rolling longer. Porn devs inflate their dev times and get away with it. I don't think great work should make you immune to criticism other devs get. I'm a pirate it can take 20 years and it won't affect me much but I don't see why I can't point out it's shitty on a devs part?

Quality takes time, look at this game and tell me another one like this. There isn't.
At least for now there isn't, In the Future better ones will be made
and each episode will be 1 year or less depending on experience and
staff/support.
To be honest, people need to get a job, get out.
They will forget about the game and peacefully wait for updates.

Its a given they will get supporters, actually you try doing this type of quality game.
Then post it for free. You cant, because you would prioritize income rather than quality work.
Dr pinkcake posted it for free, gained fans/supporters and then came income, made quality
work every time.
Then people complain, most of them are kids and unemployed people.
I download them for free yes but you still need to show respect to this level of craft.

I did. But great work doesn't suddenly make 6-10 years for a VN not look like nonsense.

To be honest no one has the right answer, only DPC knows what he is doing and well maybe those amounts of money killed his humility a long time ago.

Not been sarcastic or dismissive here, the answer is the same he could've done for the models once the funds were there; hire a professional. A skilled 3D animator that has the process down would simply set it up and have it done quicker. Likewise for the models, someone that knew their shit would've never had Bella's proportions, chrome teeth, Maya's plague skin, Madame's skin and the like in a release. DPC is a talented amateur when it comes to animations and modelling which shows. The only solutions are DPC improves or he hires a skilled professional.
That's not even a criticism since it's a creators prerogative to maintain complete control if they wish but there are both upsides and downsides to working alone and unless you're a wonder child you're simply not going to be an expert in everything.

I understand but again, quality needs patience.
5-10 years is normal for this quality work.
Game came out 2019 and now it's 2023.
3 seasons in with 10 episodes that has hours - days of content.
Each episode is 10x better than VN games currently.
Its not like these years were in vain.
I will say that Halloween part was a bit too wild.

Great. So given DPC is actually a one man show you obviously agree with Aratorn, and the rest of your post is moot.
There will be no increased pace of development, not because DPC is lazy or milking, but because he keeps upping the number or complexity of animations etc. and has repeatedly said he won't hire others to spread the load (doesn't trust others).
Why would he? He likes making the game, it's maintained popularity & he's making bank.
All the crying about how long episodes take won't make any difference, it's all pointless whining.

Is there a walkthrough mod for this Android port? I tried using the code 524721 but it just says connection error.
I can't blame anyone for thinking there is a team working on BaDIK. Solo devs with completed successful games are a pretty rare occurrence, and if you don't follow this game closely enough to know DPC's history, making an assumption that there is a team developing it would be a safe assumption to make.
This back and forth on whether DPC should hire more help is humorous whenever it comes up. He's not going to hire help, period. DPC has found his money train. He will retire when this game is complete (if he makes it to the end). Even though DPC comes from one of those socialist european countries that take most of your income, he's still earned enough to retire a millionaire many times over. I think I calculated the numbers last year and posted it here, but with those high tiers on pateron and 12000+ subscriber numbers he probably earns $100,000 a month. Combine that with the steam/gog sales, which I wouldn't be surprised if he earns more from that than from his pateron subscribers, and it's obvious he has won the game of life.
He will ride this train into 2028 to 2030 and then retire. What will be interesting to see is what the visual novel scene will be like by then. Personally I think Daz 2D renders will be a thing of the past, with photorealistic 3D visual novels being the norm. Just imagine DPC could fix Maya's skin with a simple model adjustment and not have to re-render 20000 images from season 1. Or he could just tell the AI to adjust Maya's skin texture.

For all the DPC's flaws, he succeeded twice in making something popular and widely acclaimed. I don't think he does what he does because of some insecurity about a possible lack of $$$.
The guy could finish BaDIK and maybe his next project wouldn't be as popular, but I doubt he would lose so much following that his quality of life would be threatened. People got excited for Cyberpunk 2077 because it was made by the creators of Witcher 3, people will get excited for the next Larian Studios project because it's gonna be made by the same folk who made Baldur's Gate 3 and all the same DPC's next project (if he doesn't retire, of course) is gonna get lots of hype in the world of VNs.
My take is that he's just an artistic guy and we're all a little bit weird. I have no doubt you could find lots more weirdness, but I want to focus on the perfectionism DPC displays.
Everything can be better, I have to do it perfectly, 100% or not at all, every thing has to be bigger, better, more features, mini-games, nsfw and sfw animations.
That's how I see it.
Personally, I don't mind the wait; it's like waiting for the next season of a TV series. After watching, you feel like you're gonna die without more content. Slowly, you forget and life gets in the way. Waiting gets easier, and the moment you are reminded about it, it's already a month before the release date. If you don't like the wait, then we're lucky to have a community with great memes and discussions (albeit sometimes it gets a little bit too toxic).
We can bitch all we want, but the only way to change that would be with a wallet, so I try to look positively at things. It's only a game and sometimes I wish developers treated their games like DPC does (looking at you, CDPR).

There's a ton of irony here. I mean after noticing he's sporting the "Developer" Tag, with an "Abandoned" project under his belt with large enough balls to come on here and criticize DPC of milking. Yeh I think exer has lost his moral high ground and credibility.
