Do you have any mods installed? If so, that's the problem. You gotta delete them first, or update them

Maybe it's some persistent file in another folder ?

Someone sent me some saves yesterday, just search through my replies in here. get the saves for the path you want. then play the game. Once the modders update their mods, you can play your own saves.

The Crashes are from using the save file from the modded games nothing to do with the base game itself
