In, I think it was Episode 7, when you have to decide between visiting eiter Maya or Josy, Josy is a no brainer.

Maya just stayed in the same dorm room she has occupied all semester, whereas Josy has to move again into a new environment, she still has to pay for half of Maya's dorm room and has to cope with Patrick still being a threat.

Josy clearly needs the MC way more and if you visit Maya, all you do is watch a movie, but with Josy you have some interaction with other HoT's and more of a personal talk with Josy.

On the other hand, in Episode 10 everything points to Maya. She has the much harder time accepting the lie the MC had to come up with to protect the girls secret. It's also Maya who learns about Mel's throuple relationship and the MC has to go to Maya's home to get the contract, so again an absolute no brainer.

It also may be very important for the MC to hear from Maya about how she never felt as comfortable with Josy as she does with the MC, so that he can adress it, and make sure it doesn't get out of hand and become a run-away problem.

This decision is probably important for the solo routes, but wrong for the three-way relationship.

Very simple reason. If the MC is on the throuple path, then he will have sex with Maya in EP7. However, the crucial thing is for the MC to give Maya a TV. Why?

In EP10, we find out what the DIKs are doing this Friday. A movie night. If Maya got the TV from the MC, she will not attend this movie night. This generates 2 possibilities for Maya in EP10. Either she is in her dorm watching TV or she has gone home to clean the Bailey house for Thanksgiving. It's even possible that Derek went home with her because he brought clothes in a garbage bag. Derek said that the garbage bag was used to transport the clothes.

Also, Josy doesn't need the MC in EP7 anymore than Maya does. That's totally wrong. In EP7, Maya needs the MC more because she is alone and not Josy. Josy makes friends with the HOTs. In EP10, the whole thing is reversed. Why? Oscar the idiot has made Josy doubt herself and the MC clearly shows Josy in EP10 that he loves her for who she is.

What Maya says in EP8 is also interesting. Her hand belongs to a princess and a prince. What are Josy and the MC building? A pillow fortress. Who lives in castles, palaces and fortresses? Princesses and princes.

It is important for the three-way relationship that the MC goes to Josy in EP5, to Maya in EP7 and back to Josy in EP10. If you don't want the three-way relationship, don't do it.

I don't think there is any doubt that Episode 7 Josy is a no brainer. She has to pay for a dorm room she doesn't use, just so her girlfriends psycho father doesn't use her access to higher education as a tool to control her. She is also the one that has to move again. Maya clearly said to the MC, that she considers not having to share her dorm room as being super lucky, so she is just fine.

As a boyfriend Josy is the only choice here, you wanna make sure she adapts okay, is not bitter about having to pay money because of Patrick and that she can move on.

In Episode 10 it's even more obvious, getting the contract is the main arch for everything related to Maya and Josy, it's THE main event, and since Josy doesn't even go with them, as her boyfriend, checking up on Maya and making sure she can handle the pressure is paramount.

You're not seeing the bigger picture. Josy is not alone in EP7, she has the HOTs sisters and as we learn from Elena in EP8, she had a good conversation with them. Maya, on the other hand, is in the more emotionally difficult situation. She's alone in the Dorm and thoughts go down dangerous paths when you have her alone. Also, you get less scenes with Maya when the MC isn't with her in EP7.

I wonder what you want with Josy continuing to pay for her bed? That's just money and nothing more. That bed could still play an important role, that's why DPC wrote it that way. The HOTs house is full. If one or the other HOT girl needs another place to sleep, there is one in Maya's dorm. Patrick would certainly rather see Maya sleep with the MC than live in the dorm with another girl. That's just one example.

If you want the three-way relationship, you shouldn't choose Maya in EP10. Why? Because the MC then has to decide on the Josy's & Maya's Branch which girl to focus on. This is basically the same decision we have in EP4. Which bed does the MC want to sleep in? Josy's or Maya's bed.

But we can have a third choice in EP4. The MC lies down on the floor and JM gets into bed together. Let's apply that to the Josy decision in EP10. Josy tells the MC to do whatever it takes for Maya and the MC responds to do it for both of them. Three-way relationship.

About the similar choice was in the EP9, when Maya approached MC in the hall near his room. You can decide to go with her or mention Josy. Knowing DPC and thinking that avoiding Maya just like this and one time will "save" you... haha, good luck. Because next time you have to choice to hang out with her anyway (to keep things balanced) and she will ask something like this again. If you ignore her again - you are stepping on a Josy sided playthrough and that's all. There were no good options in EP5 & EP7, too. Just more or less "right" ones.

But for me it's becomming more and more obvious that DPC will probably drag us as far as possible just to force us and make the toughest choice later at the end. I would very like the 4 outcomes and options: Throuple, solo Josy/Maya or left them both to save their own relationship. But I doubt that all of them will be available. I would like to be wrong. But DPC previously did much worse things for the sake of the drama before. So...

And after all, why do you think it's bad to spend time with Maya, but just let her know that Josy is also important? So she will be convinced that MC is interested in Josy in the same way as in her. With Josy there are no such choice, because it's already known fact about how they feel. But Maya have a bonus "balance" option. You can play however you want, but don't get frustrated when you have to go back all the way to Episode 7 to make the throuple survive, because the choices are laid out in a very obvious way.

The important thing to notice is that this is by far the most interesting forum for bad. And you dalli_x, I hear, were instrumental in getting things started here in the early days. This forum then is useful to dpc in maintaining interest in bad over the long dry spells. Surely a smart guy like him/you must know that. The way I usually go through the Josy/Maya path is like so:

1. Get Maya to like the MC, by being neutral and going back to her after the DIK body shots party; that way you get the fingering scene.
2. Have the MC go home and fuck Josy. (If you don’t, your points with the girls might not be equal enough for them to push the beds together later.)
3. Have the MC offer to help Maya do HOT scavenger hunt stuff; then when the time comes, he can thigh-fuck her.
4. Again, be neutral by the time the MC has the conversation with them in the DIK library, which activates the throuple.
5. Make em push the beds together.
6. Have him fuck Maya at the preps party. Yes the Josy scene is hotter, but Maya needs consoling more. Josy will be jealous, but don’t tell her “we’ll try” to include her in stuff; girl’s gotta learn sometimes Maya’s gonna get some one-on-one loving too.
7. Maya goes first when they film the threeway.

2. Maya option.
3. Throuple option.
4. Throuple-circumventing Josy option.
5. Throuple-circumventing Maya option.
6. Josy & Sage option.
7. Maya & Sage option.
8. All five LIs harem/dogpile option.

Not holding my breath for those last three.

I have yet to do a run in which the MC minimally fucks Josy, or Maya, so as to make the girl he chooses in the throuple breakup inevitable. That feels like I’d be torturing whichever girl he’s depriving. Kinda like Chad was torturing Sage by never putting out. Not cool.

Honesty is the only way the throuple has a shot, otherwise those problems will magnify and then one day it all explodes into one big mess and it's game over.

And DPC not just hints that that is the way, he makes it perfectly clear, when the MC lets Maya and Josy have his room to spend time alone to work shit out.

You solve problems, you don't run away from them or pretend they don't exist.

My MC always goes to his room with Maya. What's more important is what's written at the end of the threesome and what the player chooses. I always choose so that there is no competition between Josy, Maya and the MC. This is crucial for the threesome relationship. Why?

Do you get that your response in this particular dialogue is not remembered by the game? It's an RP +- moment and nothing more. No variables saved. So it's just more for your internal satisfaction, but the game moves on after that and not giving a fuck of your choice.

DPC clearly wrote that AL should not be compared to BaDIK. But I understand what you mean. But we have a clue and a decision for that in EP10. Melanie is the clue. She had a three-way relationship in high school. She was just in it for the fun of it. And here's the decision. Maya asks the MC if it's the same as Melanie's or different. I always choose so my MC wants the feelings too and that makes Maya happy. The next important decision is with Becky. Is it more important for BaDIK's player to be a celebrity or is the MC happy with Josy and Maya. Symbolism. Josy, Maya and the MC hold hands. Princesses and the Prince (EP8)

I haven't checked the EP10 game script so far, because I still have saves with permutations I'l willing to enjoy w/o spoilers, but something tells me that this is only +-RP moment again. At least the official guide says so (off guide hides a tons of shit as well, but really important things are always marked there as "character will remember your choice").

Now I will try to convey the meaning of what I mean.

In the Throuple branch, Mel warns them that it was a cool experience, but it ended quite quickly and advises them to enjoy every moment while it lasts. The dialogue with Maya and, in general, the moral of this branch is that if they don't want to "burn out" in a months and end in the same way as Mel did, then they need to talk, communicate and give their best - discuss their feelings, discuss their plans for the future, fight obstacles they have or may meet, and not hush them up or just not talk about them. Both Josy & Maya hide things. Well, we learned a tons of stuff about Maya, While Josy keeps a lot of things to herself and not sharing.

In case of Throuple break up scenario Josy (and Maya too) starts to express their feelings when it's too late. Josy even says that she haven't got a chance to show MC the real her in a relationship. If they will forget about feelings and concentrate on having fun and fooling around, Throuple is doomed, it's just a question of time. They need to discuss things, how they feel, what they afraid of, etc, etc, etc. Sage branch get a good clue how it should be done.

DPC using this duality things and spreading valuable puzzle pieces through the whole game.

We'll see where it will go with Throuple in EP11 and EP12.
