Josy and Maya's relationship toward MC is profoundly different.
between Josy and MC there is essentially a crush, they saw each other and liked each other, they don't really know each other that much, they first talked to each other the day before MC left for college.
Whereas between Maya and Mc on the contrary they started from a friendship that then, eventually became something else.
Josy not wanting to remain friends with MC after the breakup makes absolute sense, because they 2 have never been friends in their lives, and for the same reason it makes sense that Maya on the other hand all in all is fine with still staying in touch with MC, because MC is still one of the few people she trusts.

to this is also added a plot reason, Josy may prefer MC to Maya, Maya does not, the fact that she is more comfortable with MC is a very soft statement, which one can make even to a friend when one is in a complicated relationship. if Maya wanted to have an exclusive relationship with MC she would have solved the loan problem, and DPC cannot allow that.
I wouldn't consider Maya being more comfortable a soft statement that should be a major problem for Josy and Maya's relationship because it speaks to their relationship not being what should be. Maya and MC started out as friends same as she and Josy did but the relationship between Maya and MC is stronger then hers with Josy in my mind this not a soft statement but a rather strong statement. Maya relationship with Josy is more about friendship where as with MC it more about love

  it is a soft statement toward MC, which was the point of the discussion. it certainly shows the difficulties between the two girls (which are evident even without this episode) but it is not a declaration of love or sex to MC.

you can be very comfortable even with friends, in fact I would say it is quite common

I don't like that Maya likes a dik MC.
She should be exclusively a chick LI.
Like Quinn is for a dik MC.
In fact Maya leans Neutral; the easiest way to achieve the throuple is by being Neutral. But I don’t see why she’d have too great an issue with a DIK MC if he makes sure to mitigate certain behaviors. She has a DIK brother, after all.

Jill and Bella are the only ones who require him to be CHICK. Although I have a Jill path saved in which he’s Neutral… which meant he could go shrooming. She didn’t like that; she wanted him to promise to never do that again.

Honestly, I don't really pay attention to Jill or Bella.
Out of the main girls I only care about Maya & Josy.

First of all, Patrick isn't really religious. He was just grasping at the last straw he had left and was only using religion for his own ends.
The last part is suitable description for all religious people.

Why would my MC want to reject Derek in EP8. Derek was there for my MC in EP4 when he needed Derek's help. One hand washes the other. Derek helped my MC, like in EP8 Derek gets the nod from my MC so he can stay in his room if he needs to. If it were otherwise, then my MC would be a brother license and I don't want that.
Because the game is not about your MC and your choices. And since you buiding a theory based on something that depends on player choices you should at least make it coherent and notice how author of game could play it out in both circumstances.

You forget who said that about the dress being too revealing and everything else. It was Patrick. The father who, outside the family, shows himself to be an overprotective idiot from his caring paternal mother, in Josy's words, but within the family he psychologically and physically abuses, controls and blackmails Maya and Derek. Besides, you forget everything Maya said. So that she hasn't had sex, but has had dates with other guys and so that she no longer believes her father's lies. She also said afterwards that she knows what she has to do now. Patrick doesn't believe Maya to have a boyfriend, so it has to be proven. Patrick is also such a religious father (sarcasm) that he has porn magazines and a computer. There are tons of porn sites on the internet. If he happens to see a picture of his daughter having sex with her boyfriend, he won't jerk off, but he'll have the confirmation he needs to believe Maya.
The moment you're talking is about Maya meant free tuition from HOTs and was more confident than ever before to get this free tuition even if some of the scavenger hunt tasks was uncomfortable and inapropriate for her. She clearly wanted to get rid of the Patrick by getting this free tuition from HOTs, so she can tell Patrick to fuck off. That's why she was so desperate later when she realized that it was also a lie (well, not, but she hadn't "fitted" and even so, I doubt that she would go for it if only she known what free tuition was about). She saw it as the only chance to get out of Patrick's trap.

Regarding porn... Patrick is very conservative and old-fashioned. Maya mentioned this magazines once btw, that Derek used to "use" them in the context that these were the only books he "read".

But seriously... The dude has been living with his sick wife for almost 20 years. He clearly wasn't cheating on her, so... the only option for him is to jerk off. It's strange to explain such obvious things. And don't tell me that "religious" people don't jerk off, have sex, etc., and if they do, it's only for childbirth purposes. Spare me these fairy tales. It's a bullshit.

There will be some evidence either way. EP8 classroom or EP10 MC room. Only in the EP8 classroom we don't know who took the picture, but in EP10 we know who will be responsible for it.
What picture? I've lost touch :HideThePain: If you are talking about render from outside the window, showing MC and Maya running inside the classroom, then there is no evidence that somebody watching on them of takes a photo. There're a lot of same shit, including Bella's place at night, etc. For me it still seems like DPC way of fucking with players, especially ones, who played AL. Because similar render there was used to point on Leah (crazy psycho bitch).

That's exactly why Maya's solo path will have consequences. You describe it perfectly here. Now just imagine Maya doing that to the MC and the MC finding out everything years later.
The major and most important consequences of solo Maya path that Josy will be absolutely devastated, even worse than in case of break up with Throuple. Because she loses both Maya and MC and remains completely alone. The very nightmare she had tried so hard to avoid and talked / meant about. After break up with Throuple, she at least have Maya and they getting motivation to save their relationship (if DPC will decide such outcome as an option and will write this sub-path in this way, of course).

On the other side, I can barely imagine consequences for solo Josy path. Because it was Maya words, that nobody should be forced to something if he feel different. And they both know that their own relationship goes south when they are not in Throuple. So, at first solo Josy path feels better and safer in terms of consequences. But let's wait and see.

Why you dragging different events from absolutely different paths and outcomes to some particular theory, while when playing for solo Maya you barely doesn't have those scenes and options that you had mentioned? No photos/videos, no class room, no curtain scene, etc. The only thing that may affect somehow the solo Maya path is telling Josy about Chad & Troy, since if you confide in Josy, she comes up with a "beard" idea and MC comes back to Maya's home as her boyfriend (and it would be evil move from DPC if this option will be req for success with Maya solo path, because in such case, Josy literally fucking up herself by coming up with this idea.)

Let's take a test of courage in Rusty's room. What can Maya say? So that Josy's wish is not wild in itself, but for Maya it is wild. Then in EP10, Maya asks the MC if he is about fun or feelings? As a player, prove your answer to Maya, because otherwise it's just words. When Maya is with the MC, it's mostly about sex. Things are different with Josy and the MC. It's about feelings.
Josy's heart is on her sleeve. Maya is more subtle and she's introvert. Replay all previous scenes with Maya and they will all be about sex too or about Maya's problems and her past partially. They NEVER talked about feelings. Maya acts subtle. Like, by asking MC in Gender 101 class "do you like me?" and game remember this choice. In EP1 she asked MC not to be attracted to her. And game remember MC response too.
Josy doesn't talk openly about her feelings either, but she doesn't know how to hide them, and her body language, her glance, and everything else speak for themselves. That's the difference.

Why? Because Throuple got the most late commitment among MGs - at the end of EP9. Before that moment they tried to behave and keep all those emotions low to not blow up later if something will go wrong. But even so, the break up with Throple was terrible, because hiding feelings does not mean not experiencing them and does not mean that they did not grow with every day spent together. And even Sage notes that she is not even standing next to them on an emotional level.

The screenshots prove to Maya that the MC was honest with her when his answer was for her to want the feelings too. But Patrick is not convinced when Helen later finds out that the MC is her daughter Maya's boyfriend, to whom Patrick says, "It is certainly something out of the ordinary." What do we know from EP3? So that Maya no longer believes her father's lies and she knows what she has to do.
Patrick obviously happy and he can't believe his eyes, in a good way. He said "I'm sorry" to Maya at the kitchen, and according to how Maya took it in, he haven't said something like that for years to her. She even asked him again "You are sorry?"

It is quite common your right about that but I take it as a sign of Maya feelings for Mc are stronger then hers for Josy it easier to go deeper with someone your more comfortable with. Maya's relationship with both start out as friends yet MC still has leg up in being comfortable personally I find that odd considering the history Maya and Josy have with each other. I know a relationship is build on more then just being comfortable but being comfortable leads to trust so maybe a seemly little thing but it does a lot

not necessarily. that sentence only certifies that Maya feels difficulties with Josy (and how could she not?) while with Mc she continues to be at ease. the sentence says much more about the relationship with josy than about the eventual relationship with MC.

then sure, once the relationship with Josy is over, it will be more likely with MC than with another random person.

It not really a eventual relationship since she in one with MC already. There are a lot of difficulties for Josy and Maya relationship but even Maya starts to question if she just making excuses

Patrick, Maya said she would like to think her and Josy problems are because of him

she doesn't seem to me to be making excuses, Patrick pounced like a train on their story and certainly has his own responsibility in the problems in the relationship of the two girls.

then anything that is not Patrick's fault can be shared by the 2 girls

Dialogue with Maya on her "solo path":

Code:
    mc "The three magic words."
    my "..."
    if ep10_feelingsForMaya:
my "Are you ok? I hope I didn't turn you on too much."
        mc "It's not that."
        my "Then what is it?"
        mc "I..."
mc "I still have feelings for you."
        my "What?"
mc "I have feelings for you, Maya."
        my "What? Uh... When?"
mc "It's been in the back of my mind since what feels like forever."
mc "And I know that it's a horrible thing to say to you when you're with Josy - someone I absolutely adore."
mc "I want you two to be happy together, but I can't help it..."
mc "I have tried so damned hard to let go and opening my eyes to someone new to stop feeling the way I do about you."
mc "And it's like every time I am near you, everything we do together..."
mc "It makes it worse. It reinforces those feelings."
mc "But I can't stop seeing you. I don't want that."
mc "So, what I do is that I lie to myself. I pretend that I don't feel anything for you anymore."
mc "But I don't know for how long I can keep on doing that."
mc "I'm so sorry... Fuck... I shouldn't have told you this. I'm such an asshole."
        my "..."
        my "..."
        mc "Can you say something?"
        my "..."
        my "I'm with Josy, [name]."
        mc "I know."
my "I can't think of what to tell you."
        mc "Why?"
my "Because it's a thought process that I don't want to have."
my "It's scary. And if I start thinking about it, I will start questioning things."
my "Things that I don't want to question."
mc "I should have kept my mouth shut."
my "I should get back to my dorm."
mc "Maya... This feels like shit."
my "Well, how do you think I feel!?"
        mc "Please, don't be mad..."
my "You have no right to say those things to me. What are you thinking?"
mc "That I'm not over you. That's all I keep thinking."
        my "Fuck, [name]! Fuck!"

As I mentioned in another post, I don’t write my recaps with my girlfriend from memory. ReallyNotTina really liked my first recap, but felt it could be more accurate, so I said, “Then let me record it.” She was really hesitant at first—she thought at first I meant audio, and since we read Being a DIK aloud, there’d be incriminating audio of her saying some really naughty things. (Not that I don’t already have some spicy voicemails from her.) But no, I said, I’ll use the transcription app we use all the time at work. “Oh that’ll work,” she said.

The transcript requires a lot of editing, but I’m used to that. It really takes no time at all.

So, on to Episode 5.
