Somebody said he mentioned that there might be a interlude between Season 3 and 4.

And it wouldnt surprise me.

There are plenty things to be dealt with where a interlude would be perfect. Like some background about Jill and Bella, or maybe something about Lynette and Neil... where i would put my bet on.

And iam not against a interlude at all, if its well made and makes sense. The Zoey interlude was just... so pointless. The whole San Diego thing... wtf who cares? It doesnt add anything to the plot or her character. It would have been better to make the interlude about Zoey while she was together with the MC to understand better how deep the connection really was between them. A short fuck and the goodbye at the trainstation was not enough. The flashback when MC talked with Bella about her wasnt enough either to understand that they indeed loved each other. The whole interlude was just a wrong approach...

But making a Interlude in the first place wasnt wrong. And Zoey was the perfect character for it, with her comeback... but the the San Diego thing was jsut... a waste of time.

The problem is that a lot of people won't like Jill or Bella, just like a lot of people won't like Sage.
The players' tastes are already formed, they have their favorite girls and there are disliked ones.
So if the interlude and will be it will not be related to LI, and most likely will be universal. It will be Lynette's story. At the very least it will be a restaurant backstory.
But even so, I don't see the point of an interlude.

I only see a threesome with JB, Elena and the MC if the MC is single, and that's nothing new for DPC if we take the clone series.

It's one thing to create just renders, it's another to animate that. Animating is more complicated than just posing.

Where did DPC say he originally planned 12 episodes? Every estimate I've seen has been vague, though the estimate range has decreased over time (as you'd expect).




The Q&A 2022 didn't have an episode number estimate (Part 1/Part 2).

Each year he specifies the number of episodes. While earlier he was thinking of an unspecified number of 20 episodes, now it has been narrowed down to 17.
Either way, we'll probably get the answer in the next Q&A.
But something tells me, consider it just a gut feeling, that he will extend the game for one more season.
The game is too popular and makes too much money to end it that way. I'm sure DPС will still have the strength for 4 or 5 more years extra.

I have never seen a hard 12 episodes estimate, or a hard episode estimate of any number. It's always been vague.

DPC never raised the episode number estimate, it was initially 10+ (infinite max), then 10-20, then lowered to 15-17.

See. I would have written the whole story then built a VN around it. I wonder if he's at least got an outline. This is not a criticism, just an observation.

That's not how writing works, especially for a visual medium.
You basically start off with a skeleton story, of the major plot beats and a vague idea of what you want for the ending. Then, as you're developing, you start filling in the gaps between those storybeats with characterization, jovial/moments of respite, mystery and, in the case of AVNs, sex. This then directly influences the major story beats to a degree, altering them as necessary to fit what you wrote up until them.

Sure, you can write the story as if you're writing a book, and then try to fit that within the confines of the game, but the overall tone would be lacking, simply because it's not the same medium, nor the same expectations.

My conclusion is that this game is becoming very hard to play. When we first play it, it's all fun, parties, making out with girls... and it's cool, it's what a porn game is meant to be.

Now, I feel that it's bigger than that, and not in a good way.

Every character had a fucking difficult story. Let me give an example. In the beginning, we think that Stephen Burke is an asshole and deserves what happens to him (fucking jade). But, now, it feels like it's Jade who made a fool of him.

Riona, she told MC that she can't have an orgasm from sex. You know what it means ? Probably, that someone abused her while she was a child and left psychological scars.

Most of the characters have a sad/tragic background story. I didn't play all paths, but it looks like that.

I feel like the game won't have a happy ending, it will be very hard for players who got an emotional attach to these characters. And god knows that there's a lot of them !

Actually Stephen Burke cheated with another student before Jade thought about it with the MC, so in retrospect, it was Stephen who was the asshole all along.

With regards to Riona not being able to orgasm during sex. 75% of woman worldwide can't orgasm through or during sex ( scientifcally supported and proved by actual scientists ) but they can orgasm during foreplay or oral so Riona not being able to cum is nothing new, doesn't mean she was abused.
