Easy poke at grammar aside: Okay, Being a DIK is currently more than eight times as big as Acting Lessons. Fair. Still, eight episodes of Acting Lessons were created faster than one season 3 episode of Being a DIK; the entirety of season 1 was created faster than one season 3 episode of Being a DIK. And Dr. PinkCake is now a full-time developer with much faster processors.

So maybe there’s a valid reason for the holdup; maybe it takes a mighty long time to brainstorm new ways of torturing us mini-games. First figure out how they might fit the context of the game. then code them in Python, then shake the bugs out by playing them over and over. That could reasonably take a month per game. Meanwhile, contests for special renders so he can raise money.

Just another reason for me to hate mini-games.

I have downloaded s3 for this game how can i continue with it. As i have played s1 and s2 before but deleted them from laptop entirely so i cant import anything. Is there a way i can play all of it now

Okay I'm sorry if this is redundant, but I could not find an answer after much searching and trying to figure this out on my own.

I am trying to unlock all the rewards in BaDIK v8.3. I found the "persistent files" linked on the front page under "Extras".

If I am reading the instructions correctly, in order to unlock all the rewards for 8.3, you just need to delete the existing persistent file in the games\saves folder and replace it with the new persistent file (after renaming to simply "persistent"). But when I open the game, nothing is different. No new rewards.

Then I saw a post that mentioned needing to change the persistent file in the "BeingaDIKSeason3-Patreon-1535311494" folder in AppData, which I also tried. Still no changes.

According to the "persistent files" post, it seems that saves have nothing to do with unlocking the rewards, but I can't figure this out. Can anyone help me? I'm not sure exactly what to ask because I don't know what's wrong. The persistent file change seems very simple so I don't know how I might have messed it up, but since nothing changes, I clearly am doing something wrong. Any advice?

Eight episodes in eight months. I know; it’s hard to imagine lately!

While Dr. PinkCake was dropping those last episodes, he was simultaneously developing Being a DIK. He completed four episodes—the entirety of Season 1—in 2019. I get why it took him longer to work on Being a DIK: more paths, mini-games, and detail.

He’s since slowed down a lot. Partly because of perfectionism, and partly to milk (and potentially lose) patrons. But that quarterly schedule shows us what he’s truly capable of.
