I always thought the flashing red light was due to the power outage, that it lost it's WIFI (or whatever) connection or something like that. Due to the fact that it happened directly after the outage, and if the outage had not happened, they would still not know it was there.

I had similar thinking, but assumed it switched to a limited battery power somehow during the blackout. However it doesn't seem to have a cable in when it is removed.

There's also no way that it was installed during a party. Hmm, Ok, I guess it is possible, with 2-3 people running interference, look outs etc. But it is very likely they would have been caught. Depending on how far they have to run the cable and having to hide the camera which is not small, it's a 20 minute job at least if nothing goes wrong.

That was almost certainly the same camera that was used to take pictures of Derek and Jacob spitroasting Arieth, it may have been put there even before Derek and fuckface joined the DIKs.

It could've been installed during a period where every single DIK is guaranteed to be gone for at least a day. Like a holiday, or spring break. Or hell, during the summer. As far as gaining access, it wouldn't be too hard, it's not like there's any sort of security system anyway.

Yes, any party, any time when the majority of DIKs were not around.
If I can channel my inner-dalli for a bit. I think the cameras were actually put there by Quinn (or at her request). She gets her girls to take the customers in there, gets it all on video and has possible blackmail material. She can do drug deals in there during parties and has video evidence if anything happens.
