I mean that if he had dropped the things nobody cares for, he could have kept the delivery time about 6 months per episode without lowering the quality, but the story would be already finished and so it would be his monthly income of 170k per month.

Patronage doesn't incentive quick delivery.
On the contrary: patronage incentive wasting time. It's in the best interest of the author to ba as slow as he can without losing too many subscribers.

And that's precisely what DPC is doing: deliberately pushing the boundaries slowly but constantly.
Each episode taking longer than previous one.

He's going to add two/three months of delivery time per episode unless he loses at least on third of his subscribers: only then it will be his interest ti speed up.

But until his fanbase is stable around 30k subscribers, it's in his best interest to slow down as much as he can.

That's very wrong, DPC never reached 30K paying patreons, his max was almost 19K when EP 10 release, but he usually hovers around 13K when an update is far.

Don't get me wrong, he is still pulling a shit ton of money, but don't share false info like that.


Wouldn't be surprised, the AVN space is quite limited and I doubt he can grow more atm.

Maybe when the steam version updates with season 3, that could generate some media notice and get some new people to play.

Sure, u can say some things are more unpopular (specially here) like anything Madame related, cutscenes and minigames but I bet some people like them.

Also, don't forget the updates for this game are getting huge, even if you drop all of the above and some other minor stuff like the extra art from Jacob and 60fps animations I bet it would still take longer than 6 months mostly because of the work involved in creating thousands of static renders and hundred of animations.

Finally, this whole debate had been done to death and it's useless. At the end of the day it's DPC game and he will do what he want, specially if his patreons keep paying (which they are)

I'm not going to say anything one way or the other about pegging, but idk, like the way they're talking about it and DPC being worried about taking a financial hit if he includes more fetish stuff... yeah that's a factor, but also this isn't the kind of game to have pegging. Or watersports. Or actual hardcore BDSM stuff. Not outside of jokes, anyway. It is very much a vanilla sex game and never really advertised itself as anything else. Hell, the sex isn’t even the main focus of the game, it's the characters. Don’t get me wrong, the sex is obviously a major part, but the characters are what makes Being a DIK really shine.

Could he add some more kinky stuff? Yes. Will he? Probably not. Does he need to? No. It's like complaining that McDonald's doesn't sell hot dogs or something.
