I don't like it. Apparently the special announcement will be significant and affect the development that he purposely moved the status update a day.
I'm afraid there really will be 3 episodes in season 3. I don't understand the reasons for doing that, but the likelihood of it happening is there.

why wouldnt you like that, this season ending at episode 11 and then whole thing at episode 14 + epilogues is the best possible outcome, unless if you are keen to wait for this games ending in +2030.Even episode 14 might get pushed that far now imagine episode 16...

The status update is one day earlier this week, as a special announcement is tomorrow.

I've worked on art this week and completed five scenes of varied length. And I'm currently posing animations for the last lewd scene of episode 11.

Everything is going well. The animation queue count is 62, and a couple of hundred static renders are rendering now, too.

At this moment, I'm up to a total of 6630 static renders for episode 11. We'll see how much higher it gets with the remaining scenes. My gut feeling says it will end up around 7000—it could be lower or higher, but it should be in the vicinity. I'll have a tentative animation count for the episode soon after finishing the lewd scene.

Art is the primary focus now, so there's not a lot more for me to communicate in this week's update.

I've also spent some time with preparations for tomorrow.

DPC knows how to whip up the hype, it may well turn out that tomorrow's release will not be anything special. Maybe tomorrow we'll laugh and make memes saying: but there was so much talk about this! And that's all?

It would be a strange decision to reduce the number of episodes per season with the standard 4 Ep/season scheme, but hypothetically it is possible.
General possible options:
1. DPC announces a collaboration with a new music band
2. Season 3 will get 3 episodes instead of 4 and Steam release is soon
3. Estimated release date for Episode 11
4. Some new ambitious ideas from DPC for the game development that are completely unnecessary.
5. Announcement that the next episodes will be released in parts because they have become too big.
6. DPC decided to kill MC and replace him with Madame Rose.

I'd be okay with Season 3 ending early, only if Season 4 compensates, so it becomes a meaningless distinction. But that isn't newsworthy so it probably won't be that

What would be the ABSOLUTE worst thing to be added in the game next update in your opinion?
Madame Rose becomes main girl? Wendy interlude? Chad/Troy becoming DIK version of Maya/Josy for MC as possible relationship? Option to turn minigames off taken out of the game? Making any previous saves broken? What!? Share your ideas!

The last thing i'd want DPC to do is to take less time than he needs creating this game. Some of you truly have no clue about the process. I'm willing to wait a year longer if need be. If anything, a gem like this needs zero optimization, it's a solid base that you can build up on infinitely, the game could be in development well over 10 years and still deliver content and new story and it'll be worth it. Be it in the main storyline or spin-offs, or a completely new setting, what DPC did has no competition right now, and the last thing i want is my man to burn out.

You want less content only to see some ending wedding montage faster. Why? This doesnt make any sense for me in slice of life avns, its not like the mainstory is the big driving force.

Story arcs are noticeable by seasons.
Season 1. Introduction to the world and characters. Hell Week, the path to joining the frat. The first conflict (Josy/Maya) and its resolution. Overall, the game has a fun and lighthearted tone.
Season 2. Our first steps among DIKs, gaining influence. The main story arc is the first difficult challenge - a destroyed mansion. Development of relations with LIs and choice of the further path: -Choice of relations -Formation of the protagonist's personality.
Season 3. A serious antagonist for the MC - Vinny as a real threat and a drug arc associated with him. Personal arcs with the chosen LI and possibly a relationship crisis based on previous choices. Plus Zoey as a new variable. The cheating points mechanic that will fire in the future.

I would even take another full four episodes (16-20) if he had enough ideas for good content and has a good render/month development speed. Or even more ...

I just dont get why some people are so eager for the avn to end quickly, it wont be some grand finish of this one big huge arc, it isnt a story like that.

MC will be happy and mary his LI, we will see some wedding/family/kids renders and so on. I dont remember that i ever played a good slice of lice novel and thought afterwards: Nice! Finally done!!!
