I dunno what's the 'ick' with free roams some people seem to have. Is it because you just want to masturbate so non-lewd parts of the game in general bore you? Is it because you spam-click to progress as fast as possible and then can't figure out what to do in these free roams? Is it because you don't like parties and would rather sit cooped up in Maya's dorm instead and watch some movie? Just curious, not trying to judge.

So far we had only 5 parties right?

Dorm party
Halloween party
Thanksgiving party

So which of these parties above you free roam haters didn't like and why?

I've never hated the free roams but they can be tiresome when you have multiple paths open and must play through the free roams for every single path with no option to fast track through the roams. That being said, I like many aspects, especially the fact that it makes me more proactive as a player instead of just waiting for the next scene. I never tire of the story because of the little changes you can find wherever you go based on your actions.

As for the parties, the only party I didn't like was the HOT's party because of its major affinity choice feeling shoehorned. In my opinion, much of the story for the CHICK choice is lackluster, only further putting me off the CHICK path.

I keep getting exception errors just simply starting a new game.

At first I thought it must be the scrappyMod associated error, so I did a complete uninstall and reinstalled, booted up only the base game. Before it even reaches the first choice to choose whether or not I even want to play the mini-games it throws up an Exception Error. I hit Ignore, and it lets me continue, but this Exception Error continues popping up for literally every choice that comes up, including choosing what to name my character.

The game didn't do this before, at least not so persistently, was there any bug fixes that just hasn't made it to Steam yet?

I didn't see any malice in your question, so I'll gladly answer it. In short, I find it tiresome.

The worst episode in my opinion is EP.9. The game's dynamics (the sequence of events) are not intuitive. You have to walk around the mansion like a blind man lost in a shootout to see the scenes. Depending on who you interacted with first, you may miss some additional dialogues.

For example, in EP.10 you miss the line of dialogue of the MC trying to convince Sally to play Beer Pong against him if you've already played before. I hate these free-roams with a passion. Like I said, I feel like the events don't happen in a fluid way. I just want to relax reading the game's dialogues without having to worry about where the next party target is that I need to find, click and interact with.

Another thing I hated about free-roam/party planning. You might lose a lewd from Sage if you choose Scary Stories and you might make Bella angry if you choose Body Shot.

How would I know that the MC would participate in the Body Shot against his will? How would I know that I would lose a lewd from Sage if I didn't choose Haunted Mansion?

The next party in EP.11 should follow the same pattern. How will I know what activities the MC will participate in? How will I know if an activity will make the girl chosen in EP.8 jealous or not? DPC can hide the TC variable behind party activities that don't point to a bad choice for the already compromised MC.

To me, the free roam parties are a highlight. I think they are fun. It's proberbly why Episode 9 is one of my favorite episodes. I'm having a blast playing it. But I can understand that it might get tiresome after a few playthroughs in a row.
My least favorite would be the Preps party.

It seems we're on opposite ends here, bub. I enjoy the unknown variables we may trigger or not trigger but you hate them. It's only on my perfect playthroughs, which are always last, where I need to know that information and that's after I've already spent hundreds of hours playing through the new episode initially.

There's nothing inherently wrong with free roams. What I didn't like is Episode 9's Halloween party. Especially during replays you'll notice how drawn-out it is. That's not to say that free roams are at fault, it's that the entire episode is just one big free roam which isn't ideal in a visual novel. Episode 9 is filled with content but despite all of that it'll remain known as one of the weakest episodes and biggest letdowns amongst the community because it's repetitive.

I can agree that putting a Sage sex scene in there wasn't very smart. Like you said, it's impossible to predict.
But the rest are consequences of your decisions.

I like the free roam sections. They break up the traditional format keeping me engaged. Adding the quick navigation menu was a big win. I've played other AVNs that were straight VNs & I get so bored just clicking through that I eventually just skip through until I hit a major event. Whether it's a sex scene or a choice. But I lose interest.

I don't like sandbox games. But I like most of the elements of BAD. Maybe it's because it's the first AVN I've ever played that my tolerance is high for game mechanics that turn me off with other games. Maybe it's the quality. No clue. This game has so many variables & variations of different scenes. I doubt I've seen half the content.

Yeah it is weird. I just deleted the folder after uninstalling, maybe there was something left behind that didn't get cleaned and so a complete fresh reinstall might fix that.

I keep hearing this but never saw it confirmed, so I checked the status updates and polls leading up to Episode 7. The closest I saw was an animation poll where groping and titty sucking won, and what a coincidence! Those are Madame's first two lewds
But when he released Madame Rose's wallpapers, he only said she's "someone new", with no reference to her creation or whatever. So I guess in a roundabout way the patrons did vote for Madame Rose

My memory (which could be wrong of course), was that their was a poll about the extra content & a character, but no mention of who that character was or would be, just the content. Then 'Voila' madam appears.

Yeah all the poll says is that the winning options will be featured in the episode, and that's all. Could've easily been for any of the established big-boobied women in the game, like Bella, or Sage, or existing Pink Rose girls like Brandi or Sandy, but nooooooooooooo, we had to get a whole new character

I didn't hate any free roam the first time I played it. The problem is when you have played them for the third time and your eyes start to bleed. For example, the Halloween party, even in the most optimized path until episode 8, you have to play it AT LEAST five times (Jill, Bella, Sage, J&M and Others) and this is really annoying
