Keeping Tommy's secret is clearly a CHICK choice. This choice is a representation of trust. Tommy told MC about having sex with Tania without a second thought, showing great trust in MC and all the DIKs present at the time.

When Heather asks MC about him possibly knowing something, what does MC immediately think? "(Family comes first... right?)" Heather is not MC's family, Tommy is.

Telling Heather about Tommy's secret shows that MC is untrustworthy and that he is a terrible DIK brother, since he doesn't follow their code.

If Heather were someone close to MC, we might look at this dilemma differently, but up until this point in the game Heather has been nothing but arrogant and dismissive towards MC.

That's where you get to these tougher decisions, and I love them. It's not black and white with what the good answer is, as it depends on perspective.

Sure it's the "bro code" to lie for him. But lying is wrong. So honesty would lean towards the Chick side, you would think. But what if you know your lie is actively hurting someone, whether they are nice to you or not. The Chick route, is generally nice/good, but either way someone is being hurt.

• By lying, you are enabling Tommy's actions and behavior to further hurt Heather. That's kind of a Dik move.
• By treating Heather nicely and honestly, even if she's rude/mean. That's more of a Chick move.

I guess it really boils down to what perspective you take between the two of them. I haven't done any Dik playthroughs recently, but if you are truthful she really starts to open up and come around to the MC. I don't recall any fallout from Tommy either... yet. It can't readily be pinned on MC, as he doesn't even go out of his way to try and hide what he does.

My best guess is that you didn't delete the persistent file in the automatic backup folder for Ren'Py games.

If you are on Windows, that folder is:

C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\YourGameNameHere-weirdNumberHere

You have to delete also this folder to do a properly clean install.

If you don't, you will see your old saves even if they are no more in your "game\saves" folder, and most of all, your old persistent file will still be effective. If something was corrupted in it, that's going to cause you problems.

Well I was still having that problem but I figured out what the problem really was.

Turns out the Steam version doesn't have Season 3 out yet. That's why I kept getting those errors.

MC "Tommy's and Heather's relationship isn't a normal one. I'd let them sort their issues out without getting involved."
MC "I wouldn't make too big of a deal out of this."

JB "I wasn't sure who to talk to about this. Since Elena is Heather's friend, it didn't feel good to mention this to her."
MC "I get you."
JB "Thanks for easing my mind, dude. It's good to have people you can trust with these things."

I agree. Many CHICK choices regarding the DIKs are about loyalty and trust (If you play as a full Massive DIK you get many negative points with the DIKs and specially with Derek). Does Tommy respect the DIK code? No. Does he deserves Heather breaks with him? Yes. Are you a good DIK member if you snitch on Tommy? No. Did my massive DIK feel guilty after Heather blew him? NO

Absolutely! Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying being honest is the Chick route, just that it can be considered a more Chick move depending on the side you look from.

Same with other great games like The Witcher, Dragon Age Origins, and others.. there's no good and bad, as a "good" decision could actually become bad, or less good. The "goodness" of decisions you make in those vary drastically based on what perspective you take.

I get you. Some people didn't realize it, but... This choice isn't about the MC being selfless and telling Heather the truth, it's about the MC having the opportunity to get on Heather's good side and consequently have sex with her.

Don't you think it's funny that the "Heather path" is only opened if you tell Tommy's secret? This is the DPC telling you to your face that you, like Nick, broke the DIK code and betrayed a frat brother in exchange for pussy.

The right thing to do will still be the right thing to do, even if no one else does it. It doesn't matter if Nick or Tommy don't respect the DIK code, be the bigger man and keep Tommy's secret.

I hope the end of 2024 is treating you well. Amidst work, I've had a couple of nice days off celebrating Christmas.

This week, I added music to all remaining scenes and will have to analyze if more is needed in some areas. At the moment, 42 new songs have been added to episode 11. Sound effects still need more work, but not a lot.

I added the lewd events of episode 11 to the Stats app and will ensure that it works while playing.

I've played through the episode three times this week. I played Others, Josy & Maya, and Sage branches and noted what to fix. I'm encountering fewer issues with every playthrough and making good progress with the polishing.

Josy & Maya's branch needs some more work in one area in particular, but it feels good other than that. I have only played one variation of the Others branch so far, and it also felt good. I will have to play through more variations to get a different feel for it later. I finished playing Sage's branch today, and I need to play more variations of this branch as well.

To take a break from playing the episode, I'm parsing the dialogue to tighten and correct it. I've parsed about 100 pages of a 400-page Word document and will continue until I finish before I start playing the episode again.

Next week, I will play through Isabella's branch and likely revisit Others and Sage branches with new variations.

All my systems work on animations, except when I must re-render static renders to fix something. Four different lewd scenes are rendering across the PCs, and the render speed varies from scene to scene. Some of the animations rendered this week were longer than others, ranging from 4 to 15 seconds. At this time, it's tricky to predict how many animations will be rendered weekly.

55 animations remain in the queue; unless I miscounted, there should be 392 animations in total for episode 11.

Have a great end to 2024, and I'll see you in 2025.

Those bitches? Seriously? Maybe it's on a specific path...? What makes Sage special to me is that she was the only one of the HOTs who respected MC from day one (Elena was friendly too).
