While he has shown interest of remastering it, he has said that he won't do that until after he's finished since he would also change some stuff so he would need to rework stuff in the whole game.
I really doubt he won't finish it. I can't see any reason for him not to finish the game, unless he gets seriously sick, and even then he would only take a longer break. This is literally his dream game.

Yes, I know that from myself. Perfectionism or loving your work can sometimes be really bad. It can happen that you just don't finish. When there are 200,000 people waiting for it ... I don't know ... not really funny ;-) but I'll leave you alone and come back in 2026 or 27 or something like that ... i suppose some people also wish that the game would never be finished ... because then the thread here would also have reached its end ... what do you do all day then

It's really not. You don't even need to be a good storyteller as some of the most beloved VN's have absolutely fucking shit stories. Now... doing something like BAD is significantly more complex than the average VN. Though it would also be fair to argue it's become unnecessarily difficult for DPC due to his own personal failings. Back to the traditional VN, you can actually find tutorials of how to do all of it on Youtube. It is a time-sink, but if anything the bar for entry is too low.

Now, I'm not going to call BAD vanilla, but it's REALLY not that out there let alone dirty. It's not that dissimilar to something like GREEK, it just shows the explicit content that wouldn't have cut it on a Disney owned ABC Family at the time. My own life at that age was both significantly more mundane while being significantly more over the top. I went to HS in NV, half the chicks in my class ended up working at the houses. A kid a grade ahead of me drove to school every day in a company vehicle with his parents whore houses branding plastered all over it.
