This will be the next-to-last status update for episode 11. After beta testing has started, I'll post the final status update on episode 11.
I won't have much more to report on Episode 11 until then, and I'll let you know the status as soon as I have something to share. I am playtesting the episode but also working on episode 12 development. I won't report on that until after v0.11.0 is released.
The estimate for the animation queue remains unchanged as it's steadily shrinking. Lately, the daily average render count has been somewhat higher than normal. I'd still say February 7-9 holds as the completion date for the render queue, and beta testing will start shortly thereafter.
Episode 11 pre-release details
Episode 11 will be somewhere around ~18.5 GB in size for the full download (likely slightly less; it depends on the remaining animations).
The patch will be somewhere around ~6.3 GB in size. This means the MEGA host won't work without a subscription, but there will be other free hosts for downloading everything upon release, as always.
If you want to patch the game instead of downloading the full v0.11.0 at release, make sure you have an unmodified version of the game downloaded. You can only patch v0.10.0 and v0.10.1. You must download the full v0.11.0 version if you have an older version.
If you're unsure about patching, I recommend you download the full version (18.5 GB), extract it and play - it's that simple.
A reminder: save your game at the end of episode 10, where the game tells you to save to avoid any save game issues when playing the upcoming episode.
Keep backup copies of the previous version until you're sure the new version works for you and your save files.

If I remember correctly he mention that it will have 4 seasons. He also mention that the format for season 4 will be different and it will also include epilogue.

Nope, probably not, but at last Q&A he said minimum 14 episodes, I've always said this will get us V Day, Spring Break and the school end. So there's at least 3 more big episodes. He still needs to end it too, so he will need an epilogue, if AL is anything to go by maybe 2... That will take us to 16 and a nice round 4 episode per season, 4 season game. Seems fitting.
The next Q&A will be telling though as he might suddenly decide he now needs more episodes.
Either way, there's an argument as paths sat converging/ending the updates will get faster again. This is doubtful, as you know DPC will continue to want to beat lady episodes render count with every subsequent release.
It's gonna long ride to the end even if we were to consider the scenario I said at the start and we give a overly fair estate of 3 months extra per update
Possible 18 months for 12
Possible 21 months for 13
Possible 24 months for 14
Already at 5 years and we haven't even got the epilogues yet. Saddens me.

Today, I'm fairly sure that Season 4 will be the final season. I also suspect it won't be a traditional season, as it includes the endings. How many episodes Season 4 will have isn't decided yet
He also went on to said
I believe we're looking at something like 14-16 episodes total for the game. I know I need up until episode 14, for sure. At that point, it gets blurry, but I'm not stopping until the endings are what I want them to be.
So what we know so far is at last Q&A he knew he needed at least 14, but guessed 14-16. Also stated that because season 4 will have endings it won't be a typical season.
In fairness he gave absolute nothing concrete there other than saying he's not stopping till he's ready. Next Q&A he might have decided he needs till chapter 18 to finish.

i was speaking in general, not about DPC specifically: the patreon mechanism pushes developers to take their work very slowly, without haste, especially once they reach a certain volume and thus a certain inertia in support. so only patreons with their behaviour can resist this natural tendency. moreover if the big names can go to a year, even the ‘medium’ ones can go to 6-7 months, when the big names will go to a year and a half, the others will go to a year. it seems to me an inevitable drift.
the other channels you're talking about are essentially sales channels, they don't provide this kind of support over time. i doubt even DPC would ever give up a big monthly cheque waiting for the ‘bang’ every 6-7 years.
probably, if Patreon disassociated itself from porn, DPC might even go ahead (i wouldn't take it for granted anyway, he complained about a change of policy in monthly payments...), while most of the other projects on this site wouldn't make it, but it would be a big loss for him too.

I mean I am fine and don't blame DPC for taking long, there are so many branches to take into account and being thorough about it. But yeah, there is a lot of big episodes to finish this up.
So maybe 16 episodes does sound pretty good with episode 16 being the epilogue.
