Turns out two teenagers struggle to understand their emotions and articulate them. Who'd have thought.Poor, poor Zoey. Gets 100% of the blame for what happened, no one ever remembers how MC never voiced his feelings, or kept his texts short and didn't really express any positivity, or didn't do more to try and keep the friendship alive. All relationships are a two-way street. Zoey thought she was doing him a favor, and MC basically accepted the idea that she moved on/abandoned him. Nothing happens if you do nothing. But Zoey is the one who has to grovel and beg for forgiveness because MC is our boy.
Oversimplified the whole thing, but you get my point.
Zoey fucked up, MC fucked up, and now they're a bit more emotionally mature they're working on those issues
