I don't know if I can define why or why not I like certain tattoos. To me, they are a bit like art. I look at it and I like it or I don't.

I think it's just that like any other thing, the ones that dislike it are the most vocal. Personally I grew up around biker culture and graduated high school in the late 90s, so the whole alt look just speaks to me.
I have 5 tattoos myself, two of which I designed, and frankly i could care less what anyone but me thinks of them lol. I give people a lot of leeway when it comes to tattoos, but even I have my limits. Like if someone tattooed "Exit Only" on their ass, I'd probably look at them with a bit of contempt

Same here, I couldn't really tell you why I like tattoos so much but I do. Tattoos absolutely are art, just because they are inked on a living medium doesn't change that fact. I agree though, like any art it's all subjective.
