According to reposted updates, the renders are due to finish by the end of next week. Then there's a beta test that will run for an unknown duration and then the update will be finalised for release and released - people are predicting early to mid March as the most likely date (a month after renders finish).

DPC's flaws not-withstanding, he's been pretty consistent with beta testing. since some of the earliest chapters, his beta testing stage typically sits at the 12-15 days. But who knows if this cycle will be a changing factor. So for a very rare occasion, where I'm not the galactic cynic in the room and hope for a late Feb release.

I think the shortest beta has been around 8-10 days. I might remember the Interlude one, which obviously is less complex.

Important point: status is NOT affinity. Status goes from 20 Massive DIK to -20 Massive Chick and most choices affect it. Some choices, scenes and positions are locked behind a status check. Affinity is decided by the major choices. The further the game gets the more focus shifts from status to affinity. If you choose the DIK option 5 or more times with the first 7 major choices you'll have DIK affinity and J&M will reject you.
