You could try one of the walkthroughs to see what decisions you made that took J&M off the table. The official one and Mr Bubu's are both pretty helpful.

Important point: status is NOT affinity. Status goes from 20 Massive DIK to -20 Massive Chick and most choices affect it. Some choices, scenes and positions are locked behind a status check. Affinity is decided by the major choices. The further the game gets the more focus shifts from status to affinity. If you choose the DIK option 5 or more times with the first 7 major choices you'll have DIK affinity and J&M will reject you.
Really well made game and I can see why its so popular but just got so frustrated with the open roaming, just not for me
