One question: How old has this game been? Because it seems strange to me that it takes more than a year to develop a single chapter, and that it could practically take more than 10 years before they finish this game. It reminds me of the creator of Stardew Valley, who spent four years creating that incredible game, and he was alone. Just my opinion, please.
Yes, let's compare the farming sim with throwback graphics to a multi branching visual novel with better than average 3D graphics. That's totally the same. This reminds me of that one guy who tried complaining that EvaKiss was milking because she wasn't dedicating every single second of her life to pumping out ORS faster.

Is it just me or did some of the characters get boob jobs between updates. Lily's tits seem bigger than before, as does Zoey's.

Did he forget what his own models look like?

The whole game Acting Lesson is not as big as episode 10 for example... so i dont get you, you basically complain that being a dik is "too big" and want a way shorter experience. *shrugs* thats ok... but than this game is the wrong game for you, thats it...

being a dik as 20 times more characters, so of course everything takes longer. Acting Lesson didnt have any other sotry that the psycho bitch burining down something and the relationship with two girls. Thats it. 5000 renders, 200 animations, and the game was done. Comparing AL with being a dik is not really reasonable.

The whole development of AL took about 2 years. First release was may 2018, so you can say... half a year in advance the creating process started. And the last update was August 2019. So, between initial release until the last update, it took 13 months, add 6 month developemnt before the initial release and we have 19 months development time for AL, i would add a little more cause DPC had to learn everything in advance, so lets say... 2 years for the whole game, with 5000 renders and 200 animations, no minigames, less music and so on... in TOTAL.

Episode 11 consists of more than 7000 renders, 20 times more characters, has nearly 400 animations (which are not needed, ok maybe half of them were enough, but well... DPC likes to create them and the animation queue is needed as a timekeeper for his healthy workshedule anyways) and the whole episode took 13 months including a lot of minigames, selfmade music and it goes on and on......

So... you want less content in 2 years than now, but after those 2 years the game should be done with, thats what you are saying... Hm... yeah... *shrugs* ok. Each to their own, but yeah... i dont get that at all.
im saying that i want a story in which the dev time irl and the narrative i play respects my time (like AL did). if its gonna take over a year to get a single new episode out, then i want MAJOR progress across the board for all the main characters and the primary narrative. all the bloat in this game is DPCs own doing, nobody is asking for a billion pointless animations and minigames and other wastes of time.

AL was the right ratio of content per update and waiting period, and the pacing for a release schedule like it had was perfect with the cliffhangers and the drama build up allowing for fun discussion in between updates. the last few episodes of this game feel like something big happens in the first few scenes, then we fuck off into some giant free roams for like 1/2 of the episode where nothing narratively is accomplished and/or a time skip is implented to make that big event less important, and then it ends suddenly on another cliffhanger which will take up the first 10 percent of the next episode over a year later.

the easiest thing to criticize about BaDIK is the pacing irl and in game are shit. Dont think many people would disagree with that

How can you even compare AL and Being a Dik?

Railroaded love interests, shit quality renders, 3 or 4 paths. It was nothing but a stepping stone and learning step for DPC.

I mean you can still play-through all scenes though, and then change the variable(s) back to the minimum (with URM or scrappys mod), right? Or has something changed?

I haven’t played the update yet (waiting till this weekend), so I don’t know if DPC tinkered with the code to make the mods harder to use or exploit.
Ues you can in scrappy it's readily available. In urm i'm sure it's there but i'm do not know what to search
