Yeah, I've watched quite a few talkshows in the past about this, about groups of women that bonden together because the same guy wronged them. Usually it didn't happen that the guy still was in a relationship with 1 of them though.
While I don't disagree that there may be something that ties them together that is linked to both Bella's locked room and Jill's loss of her sister and for story reasons we are probably going to find out.

The "escalation" of the group wasn't the day before the mission...Halloween is like a month before Thanksgiving when they are really starting to come together. If you consider the planning meeting in the library to be the escalation, that's like a week or so after Halloween. I'll admit we're supposed to just assume that they all continue to interact off screen in the weeks between Halloween and Thanksgiving, and off screen stuff can make relationships seem less credible since we don't see it. If you're talking about the Avengers assemble scene before they leave for Patrick's, that's the day of Thanksgiving since B&R isn't that far from the house. While that scene can come off as a little much, showing Maya support isn't insane. Jill hates bullying and Patrick was bullying Maya for being a lesbian. Bella's an adult and while she can be aloof, she's not a cold hearted bitch that she wouldn't want to show Maya support now that she knows what's up (plus she usually has Thanksgiving with Jill anyway). Josy would come to support Maya even with their crumbling relationship. Sage is either coming with to Patrick's or shows support because she still feels bad about Stephen denying Maya help.
One in a million, maybe less. Then there are so many situations: it's one thing if they are already friends and decide to get over it (Jill and Bella for example) , it's another thing if they are girls who want to understand why they were left.

Yes I was referring to the assembled avengers, I wrote day but I meant the scene before the mission . At that time nobody but Derek knows about Patrick's abuse. Sage probably knows more about Maya's situation, but Jill and Bella there is no reason to think they know much about it. It is all extremely forced and blatant.
