Well the look on their faces wasn't one of horror it was more of shock/and or surprise when they saw what was inside the room and Bella's facial expression was unreadable as always so who knows we'll have a year plus to mass debate on what it could possibly be.

Nah mate, she was terrified. That look on her face was of fear, but why? That I don't know, but I believe it would be the fear of maybe losing the friends she made. She is finally not alone anymore and she is happier than she has been in ages.

I don't think it's something out of the ordinary.
It's the same thing when you take money from someone who is weaker at school. I think everyone has done it.

That was not the look of fear of what is in the room. That is the look of fear for those two seeing what is in the room. Higly doubtful there is anything to fear in that room. But yeah what have we had so far. We had a abomination kid being chained up, A baby room, A bdsm dungeon, Her husband locked up in a cage or something. We can all just speculate.

Could it be James? He obviously took the keys with him when he left the house. Would that explain the unlocked door? Did James come in without Bella seeing him with the intention of surprising her? But Maya opened the door and didn't understand and the MC recognized him?

It might be not sure. DPC is known for these cliffhangers and they always turn out to be something really silly
I don't think it was fear, if it was fear she would have said nothing while remaining motionless, or she would have screamed or put her hands in front of her mouth, etc
I think it's just something disturbing (shrine / room full of photos / baby room-nursery / room full of guns)

She was not scared of what was inside. That's not what I meant.
It was fear of the reaction of those that were seeing the inside. And Bella most probably won't scream when scared, she would open her eyes wide and freeze in place.
