Currently I combine them (even on DIK I go as long as possible with Jill).
I've done both, but usually the breaking up with Jill when on the Bella path is amicable, but I've also gone the other way and Jill sees mc fucking Bella on the dining room table, when with Jill and breaking up with Bella, Bella seems to accept it.
I wouldn't really call that a paradox, DIK MC can be the same, as well as real life people.

Not sure I agree, I think all MG paths are like that. Sage does happen to be going through a very tumultuous time in her life though, and that requires a lot of support (making the fact that MC cares for her more obvious).

I think the MC genuinely cares for pretty much every main girl so I agree with you there. I feel its more how that's reciprocated that makes the Sage path feel right for me. Where most of the other characters almost feel fake (not quite it just doesn't feel right). In the end I suppose its a preference thing and I prefer Sage's character to any of the others.
