First, MC met Zoey in detention in high school and he's now a freshman in college. Plus she was gone to San Diego for more than a minute. However that doesn't really matter because you don't go see your ex when you're with someone else. Doing so sends a clear message that the "friend" (even though they were more than friends) is more important than the girlfriend/wife/whatever.

So, she understands just fine. He's going to see his ex, that he had sex with, that he said was his first love, when it seriously bothers her. It doesn't matter if they were friends, it doesn't matter if they won the big game together and it doesn't matter what other excuse he can come up with to make it ok. It's not ok. It's rude, disrespectful, hurtful and selfish. If you wanna do whatever you want and ignore your partners feelings then don't be in a relationship.

TLDR
Partner's feelings > Rekindling relationship with ex

It's a simple formula :)
No, Sage doesn't "understands just fine". The same way MC doesn't understand Sage, or at least doesn't explain himself to her well.

That's the issue. They're not communicating reality.

Sage just wants her feelings heard and understood by the MC. She already said MC can be friends with his ex.

Luckily this gets resolved on the phone.

MC wasn't leaving anyone. It was Jill/Sage who decided to ditch the MC to paint nails with her newfound girlfriend. This gave him the perfect chance to check on Zoey while he was still home. His only mistake was not alleviating his insecure GF's fears well enough. I'd honestly be pissed off if my partner couldn't suddenly trust me when I've never given any reason for it. In Sage's case, no matter if she claims it's Zoey she doesn't trust, it's actually the MC she has issues with. In reality she doesn't trust her BF to say 'no' should it come to the worst of it where Zoey tries to get him back.
It's not insecure to not want your new boyriend to spend time with someone he considered his first love, someone who taught him to fuck and his best friend.

She doesn't trust Zoey and yeah, maybe doesn't have 100% trust in MC considering they've only known each other for a short time and have only just started dating. Let's not forget that Sage has just come out of a long relationship with someone she loved and trusted who turned out to be cheating on her for a time so for her to have trust issues on both ends is completely reasonable and MC and Zoey should understand that.

Wait why is Stephen a main antagonist? I get he's flawed and all but he hasn't struck me as truly malicious.
He tries to buy sex from Mona, a student at his place of work, and proceeds to give her the boot from college because she can’t bring herself to sleep with him.

On sages path he is extra cold and he’s shown to basically not love or care for his kids at all.

Not a real antagonist yet though as he hasn’t yet been show to (and may very well) not be a part of whatever shady subplot scheme with the letters, prostitution, MCs family clusterfuck drama thingy, but the scenes with him imply that he’s shady as hell. Or maybe he’s just another messed up parent in this date the women with messed up families simulator that we all like so much.

But MC isn't doing that. Sage is the one who is leaving him and buggering off to do her own thing. I'm sure if Sage chose to stick around Fuckface would be more than happy to keep spending his time with her.
Yes but she is going with Jill to get her nails done... WHILE the MC is going to an ex's house. Do you see the difference? One got fucked by him and the other is just friends with sage. SOOO

But she didn't say that, and MC totally forgot about that (as he said so on the phone). You can't blame either for not thinking like the other.

This is basic relationship crap, and taking sides is foolish; both parties aren't communicating effectively. That's the whole conflict. And it's not even drama. It's just silly miscommunication.

MC thinks talking to Zoey is fine.
Sage thinks MC talking to Zoey is bad.
MC uses reasoning. It's ineffective!

Oh god who cares.

Either way, it amounts to nothing. Before, people on here were complaining that MC should've told Sage that Zoey confessed. (No, the conflict is resolved. There's no reason to bring this up.)

Also I disagree that zoey's whole romantic shtick is ex coming back and now you are leaving the person you been pursuing to come back after he confessing to you despite you having no control on the MC confessing his feeling at the BBQ
I feel like the root causes for people arguing over this is the fact that we have to remember that the branches need to have shared scenes in order to make the game manageable.

So if you like Zoey and get a lot of Zoey points while with Sage it all those scenes works out great as a part of that story. If you wanna stick with Sage or whoever, then the interaction can absolutely be seen as more awkward or forced. That’s just a consequence of the late branch needing to fit in with the rest of the tree.

It’s like when Tremolo goes to get gum removed from his hair at Bella’s even if you’ve completely ignored her. Weird when you’re not on her branch, kinda sweet on Bella, Jill/ bella+jill path.

I argue when people try to side with MC's stupidity and blame it solely on Sage like ffives is doing when grarg explained it. Every party is responsible in this situation

- MC for being stupid.
- Sage for being hot tempered.
- Zoey for being a home wrecker if in a main LI path.

But she didn't say that, and MC totally forgot about that (as he said so on the phone). You can't blame either for not thinking like the other.

Yeah, but MC isn't going to his friend to fuck her, or even to get his nails done. He's going there just to talk. Much like Sage is going to Jill just to talk. So that whole crucial difference "oh but they have fucked before" is for the most part entirely in your head due to the inability to get over that.

And besides, how do you know if Sage isn't going to Jill to hit on her? We've already seen how quick she is to jump into making out with her female "friends" at the drop of a hat.

I just noticed that the veins in the oily manatee's tits are almost popping.
You looked that closely? Are you ok?, any headaches, blindness, vomiting, suicidal or homicidal thoughts?

And to answer your question Milton I prefer the female version of Fuckface over the sea mammal

No fuck that, you're protecting the biggest snitch in the entire game. He rats out EVERYONE, dude can't even keep his fucking mouth shut before this whole ordeal. Even if it was the nerds, that doesn't excuse everything else Nick did (like fucking Heather).
Quid pro quo, Tommy is fucking around without telling Heather and now Heather did the same thing. In my opinion Heather will fucked anyone just to get back with Tommy, it just so happen that Nick became the sacrificed in this matter. Regarding Nick ratting everyone I know is not right but he got cornered and being ganged up by his so called brothers.
Sage would dig him back up just so she could kill him a third and fourth time. :)
Or she's gonna make mc a taxidermy

Right and we got to see them talk at his room during the panty party.

Honestly I already argued with you a few times on this topic before, and we already settled it with an agree to disagree.

Nick i get is upset but I don't think ratting out everyones secrets to their faces is a good way of showing that you didn't fuck them all over.

Tommy definitely didn't help and is getting his just desserts for sleeping arounf while with Heather but it was still a DIK move by Nick to sleep with her while they were still together. I'd have more sympathy if he slept with her right after they broke up.
